At 2100 EST on 21 June, The Umber Hulks are hosting a Scavenger Hunt on the Thelanis Server. Come join in the fun. Win prizes.

Can you find the strange obscure hiding spots all over Xen'drik? All contestants will gather at the Leaky Dinghy. I will have 11 helpers located in 11 hiding spaces all over Xen'drik (for those that do not know, Xen'drik is the name of the continent that Stormreach is on). They can be hidden in the Harbor, Market, D, J, P, K, 12, Delera's Graveyard, Desert, Gianthold, or the Necropolis. Each hidden character will have stacks of strange mundane items. One char might have shurikens, one might have lumps of coal, one might have pinches of bull dung. You find the character open a trade window and accept that character's mundane item. Collect all items and return them to me in the Leaky Dinghy. Each hidden character along with one collectable will give you 1 hint to find 1 other hidden character. He/she is not going to say "Go here!" He'll give you a hint. The 1st couple of people to return all items will receive prizes. Cool prizes, not the garbage given out for the Butterfly chase. This contest will take a lot of knowledge of the geography of these different areas. If its easily hidden behind, jumped on, swam under, there could be one of the hidden characters.

I will need help with this game. I need 11 other people. There will be Umber Hulks helping, but I will still need help. If you volunteer, I will really need to rely upon you to show up. No telling others where you are. All 11 and I will be in a raid party, so we can use voice chat and party chat to talk to each other. When a character has finished trading with you, let me know in party chat / voice chat so I can mark off who is winning. That will also prevent cheating. Find all the people that are hidden all over the world. Let's have fun with this. Everyone has been grinding out raids, favor, monks and ingredients for so long. I will be giving away ingredients and relics. Come to the Leaky Dinghy prove you have the knowledge of quests, of the town, how do you get to the places I say to go? What am I talking about?
9:00 pm EST on Saturday. Come one and all. I'm not gonna ask you to go any place a noob can't get to. It may be hard to get to. Some people will DIE trying to complete my quest. I will know that you have truly accomplished something if you win.

Due to circumstances beyond my control (work) requiring me to be absent from my own event, I am postponing the even to Saturday 28 June at 2100 EST (1800 pst). Same rules. I will need to touch base with the people that promised help.

Well tonight is the night. Get your thinking caps on. Right now I have 5 confirmed hiders. I still need more.
Prizes are Relics and or Ingredients. The 1st place person gets to choose from my list of relics or ingredients. 2nd gets to choose from what's left. First 5 people who return all items to me win a prize. I will also release the names of the winners, leading to great Fame on the Thelanis Server as the most knowledgable of Xen'drik Geography. Ladies and Gentlemen....

The scavenger hunt / Hide-n-seek took place and lasted for about 2 1/2 hours. We had many participants. Many tried and many failed. Many couldn't find my hiding spots. Sorry? However there were winners.

1st Place went to Camile. For her reward she chose the Medium Length of Chain.
2nd Place went to Mariellen. For her reward she chose the Collapsed Portable Hole.
3rd Place went to Halquin. For her reward she chose the Ancient dragon Relics.
4th Place went to Bryndella. For her reward she chose the Medium Gnawed Bone.
5th Place went to Truthseeker. He chose the Small Sulpherous Stone for his reward.

All participants had fun. The hiders had loads of fun. The seekers had a good time. We even found a completely points'less reason to kill Jaggie 7 times. Thank you to all the people who hid, and helped me with the event.

and a very special thank you to Jaggie. Who was the sacrificial lamb out in the Open Palm Inn, You had to beat her in PVP to get her item. She was a great sport about the whole thing. She gets lots of cookies.
