HAve any Vista users encountered a problem with the mod 7 advance installer? I run the program and I keep getting a message that says the updater cannot be run as an administrator. I changed my account settings from admin to standard and I still get the same message and the installer will not work. Anyone know how to work around this?

I just ran into the same thing. I think that message is coming up after the patch has been installed. When it tries to launch the app. So your game is already patched, just uncheck the box that launched the game from the updated and launch it from the normal icon.

That's what happened with me. I think the installer runs and then restarts the program, but because it's Vista, it's installing 'as administrator' and attempts to then run the launcher 'as administrator' which doesn't work. I hope that turns out to be the case and that I don't have to go through the pain of watching the forever update a little later today!

found this solution in forums for the installer....
Create a user account in vista and just install the updater in that account.
No issues after install with the admin BS. The dev that posted also suggested playing from that user account as well. My issues have dissapeared since then.
