A decent maul for the Big Red Guy.

So I pulled a decent maul recently. I posted it on AH for a ridiculous price so you can see it there (unless someone crazy picks it up ).
It's ML16 no UMD requirement.
The name is +4 Holy Burst Silver Maul of Maiming
I am mainly interested in a decent amount of larges or pp.

Makes my +2 Silver Holy Burst Scimitar seem like a butter knife.

While it is a **** sweet pull... A transmuting greater bane would do more damage in the hands of most melees. Unless you are a blunt spec'd barbarian... I would look elsewhere for a pit fiend "beater".

Again not trying to flame on your item... it is a very rare weapon and nice weapon... but considering few melees are blunt spec'd AND that the pit fiend has 50 percent fortification, the holy burst and maiming damage will only go off in about 1 every 40 swings on tanks not blunt spec'd.

In the hands of a barbarian that has the increased crit range and improved critical bludgeoning... the weapon is FAR more effective.

If it would be a slasher (even better a axe) I would use it myself.
Trust me, I am aware who might be interested in a maul like this and it has it's uses in some good hands.
My fighter uses holy burst silver khopesh and it crits quite often.

hmm you are right. Still... that damage isn't making up for the damage you lose when his fortication prevents the damage multiplier. But you are right... the maiming and burst will go off anyways I stand corrected.

I haven't played my Pally in a while, but IIRC the current Holy Sword spell's weapon can only be equipped by the Pally.

90% of barbs are axe specced... I know someone who was blunt specced but unfortunately he left the game to play AoC. GL tho!

Also, I'm quite certain holy sword only gives a sword to the dodo who casts it (ie the weapon is bound)..
