Finally most high end items have a fixed quest/raid to pull from. Want a bloodstone, grind the desert, want a kardin's eye run POP for the 145678245th time. w/p has no strategy to acquire. You can not go out and grind for one.

All of the these things, plus the trendiness make this the item that we so very eloquently "jizz" over.

Unless you were an old guildie of mine who seemed to pull a Kardin's Eye about every 4 or 5 runs it appeared....sigh. He was giving them away after a while... (never won one of his roll offs thou...)

That being said a wounder of pure good with a seeker 10 of puncture works pretty good to. I personally wouldn't trade what some people want for them...and if I got one I know a guild mate that would be pretty happy to find it in his mailbox.

This is my argument in a nutshell. A wounder and a puncturer with seeker works just fine. Sure, I'm dropping the mob slower than the guy dualing WoP rapiers, but I didn't have to sell my house to get them. The thing is, they will just nerf this weapon in the future anyway. Why give away a ton of items they won't nerf?

in my humble opinion... a yugo will get you around just as well as a lamborghini... ( for the most part) , that being said... I LOVE DRIVING MY LAMBORGHINI, or 2 of them for that matter ... when you have 10 extra vorpals, and disruptors, and paralyzers and all the mid-level junk that one acquires, it's not a big deal to package it all together and make a deal for a lambo...and if i gear 5 toons with stuff for the guy that trades his wop rapier pull , then everyone wins...so everyone is correct wop is KING, and a wounding ss of shatter will eventually get you to the store as well.... a good healer helps also ....

It's all a question of taste and style i suppose..........

Sure a wounder and a puncturer work just fine. So does a +5 con necklace. So does a +4 Protection Cloak. So does a... you get the point. WoPs are hands down the best weapons in the game for non red-named mobs. Yes they even kill faster than vorpals. There is no way to protect against them, there is no deathward, there is no save. Maybe you are annoyed because you want one but the price is too high.... take a look at the trade threads and see that you can join the club.

Yes. If WoP were going for what I think they are worth I would do it in a heartbeat. Two +5 wounding/smiting, disruption, or banishing. Hell yah.

No, because they sell for crazy things like a bloodstone, 10 larges, and 1000k plat.

That's because they are the best item in the game. Hands down. Con damage at twice the rate of wounders (and wounders are pretty good items by themselves).

If you want to see why twice the Con damage is more than twice as good, get yourself a two-handed vorpal and two one-handed ones, and compare the difference in the Shroud.

Hmm...noticed this plug after you posted in my trade thread for an item....**** the tax man for making you stoop to Slipperypete levels...now i gotta give that ss you want for a muckbane

Lets see if we can use this thread to get 3 tanks with duel W/P rapiers (dagger or ss if we cant get enough at said time)....2 caster...and 1 cleric...and keep doing Running with the devils elite till we get to 8 minutes (with devil chest) or less..obmi automatically has 1 tank spot to pike as usual..he can at least video the action and put in play by play..and yes..Obmi..you can put in Wham music in the background as you do with all your YouTube movies...dont want to disturb your cinematic mojo
