Am I missing something, or does Harmonious Balance give like 5 different enhancement options - and Dominion gives 1.

No your not missing anything, but you have to remember Risia is a preview server not a live server. So things are always open to change. I can't see Turbine going live with mod 7 with only 1 enhancement for dark monks.

dominion is also a direct damage school/attack

harmonious only affects undead with its attack and gives cures

I'd modify that with a yet... I don't think they will make it a null Enhancement category... they have said that they are still planning future development of the class.

Also from what I can tell Dominion only effect living with damage

its a Negative Energy effect vrs a Positive Energy Effect that Harmonious is. I could see them making a mirror set of Enhancements for Dominion to do the opposite as Harmonius (obviously without the damaging friends bit)

Damaging my allies really would not deter my warforged from following the path of Dominion.

Dominion Have Great Combos, Such As Hold Person/Blind All Depends On What You Want You Monk To Do, Harmonious Is More Party Buffs.
