I've been around since launch, but took a few months off for other games. I just was checking the compadium and noticed something odd about spells. It's now listing spells per day? Does that mean they changed the spell system to be more in line with PnP D&D? The game no longer uses spell points then?

Then why is the DDO compendium saying spells per day? Acording to it, a sorcerer can only cast 3 spells per day, and know 2 at level 1.

Because the Compendium sucks

It means spells known, not spells per day. A level 1 sorc can cast 2 level 1 spells (spells known), a level 2 sorc can cast 3 spells, but can do so until his sp is used up.

Half the time it seems the compendium was written my somebody with no comprehension of how DDO works. It's not a surprise that you were confused.

Actually, it's more surprising that you weren't confused.

The copy/paste wasn't very clear. But it gives spells known/spells per day for each level. Interestingly, it gives wizards being able to cast the same number of spells per day as sorcerers. Hence why I felt I should ask. It was saying casters now work like in PnP, but I remembered them using spell points.
