Logged onto the Risia server this am for about 15 min to create a monk, couldn't help but notice there are lvl 16 monks already. My God people get a life! Go out get some air, and for once in your life go meet a girl and kiss one for the first time.

and the server has some insane boost to the amount of exp per quest you get.
Heck they could be boosted unnaturally by the devs so they can see the high level part also.
or they could just have no Life/Significant Other/Kids/Job/Live in their parents basement/ect...
There isn't a single player with a level 16 Monk on Risia. There is however a few level 11's and a number of level 10's.
As far as getting a life/living in the basement/get a girlfriend comments. I guess you're just gonna have to live with the fact that some players are better than others and these players know which quests to run to get the maximum amount of XP for time spent.
Lastly Risia does not at this time have an XP Boost. It would be nice, but the only xp boost anyone is seeing is from d20 trinket and that confers only a 5% xp bonus at the end of quest.
I am, Rameses!

I'm married, work full time and go to school online at night (generally have to write at least 2 papers a week along with other assignments).
I've made two lvl 8 monks and a bunch of lvl 6 ones.
If I had played just one monk I'd be lvl 10-11 at least (really don't want to ruin the higher lvl stuff though and am mostly testing the early stuff to determine which builds I want to play long term when it goes live).
It is easy for someone to hit lvl 10-11 without playing more then 4 hours a day or so at this point.
Remember money is generally no object on Risa since it's just a test server and we have plenty of equipment to use and transfer to our monks already. Unlimited potions of haste/bulls strength/cats grace/SoF/Barkskin and of course healing pots as well.
Not even worth using clickies since potions can be stacked far more easily and used without worry about shrining.
You can bring a new monk from lvl 1-4 in about an hour by just running specific quests like Kobolds new Ring Leader, Information is Key, Lighthouse etc through on normal 3-4 times then on hard and elite (all doable easily solo with the above equipment and potions).
Most of us have expidous retreat items as well so we are moving around at a nice clip even before haste potions.
You can solo to 6 in a night without any problem. And I could probably reach 9 in one solid day on the weekend solo (havn't done it but I'm sure I could).
So reaching 10-11 isn't insane. I'm surprised nobody is past 12 yet personally. It does not look like even 1 players has stayed up straight playing a monk since launch (or even slept only a few hours a night and played constantly otherwise).
That is almost unheard of for MMO's as usually you have at least a few people wo "race" for the new content and to be the first highest lvl player in a new class.
It's been long enough now for someone to certainly have made lvl 14 in monks.....not sure about 15 or 16...but 14 could easily have happened at this point.
Yeah, gotta keep in mind most of those monks that leveled fast will at least have had unlimited potions, clickies, and some nice robes, even if the high level characters mailing them stuff didn't happen to have any fancy kamas or quarterstaves on hand. Good chance a lot of them also had full groups of similarly-equipped monks to level with, and everyone knew all the quests blindfold![]()
Wow. As of Sunday, 9 was the highest I'd seen. (Some monk with no real life named Ramesis, or something like that.)
An XP boost would have been nice - but I'll walk around that bloated horse-corpse today.
In fairness (and guessing)... if a 16 was glimpsed on the lists, I'd wager it was a trial entry by one of the Powers who forgot to hide themselves.

Monday was a holiday...You can level quite a bit on a 3 day weekend![]()
I think the highest level monk is level 12 at the moment. I made level 9 over the holiday weekend, took several breaks, went to a cook out, played on live a bit, did my house chores, grocery shopped, changed oil in car, etc. It is not that hard to level quickly if you want to.

I am married(10 yrs as of May 23rd), have 4 girls(8yrs, 5yrs, 3yrs and 5months old), I work offshore 14/14(thats 14 days offshore and 14 days at home for those who don't know), and when I am home I have soccer, for my girls, and Karate for my 8yr old. Also, I have to squeeze in quality time with the wife in the 2 weeks I am home. On top of that I have all the regular chores....cutting grass, cleaning yard(my two dogs can make quite a mess), other Honey-do-prjects, and of course playing with my kids(<-- YES its a chore, they wear me out).
With all that said, I still have time to lvl up very quickly, and I have lvl'd up to 8 soloing in only 2-3 days. It can be done easily if you know what quests to run.
I have a fulfilling and exciting life with my family and still find time to play DDO.
I AM THE FPOON!!
