*sigh* so much for having the site back up this weekend guys. The most recent backup of the database from 5-10 is corrupted so we will have to go with the one from 3-30 and lose a month or so of posts. For now we can use this thread to set up specific quest runs.

For those of you that didn't get to the site in the few days it was working this month, we had some issues with the old host that were preventing people from using (or even getting to) the forums (really freaky issues that made me question my sanity for a few days). I had some issues with the hosting company and decided to move to another host. Now that I'm all set up there the database backup is messed up. Cross your fingers for next weekend

High Night 5/31 : I would like to get through Threnal East the next time everybody from last weeks West group is on. Coto and Jacq (& maybe Het, not sure) are the only two left from the last run that can open South. I'll also get Nock through the last few tombs to have Bloody Crypt Elite ready.

I heard that The Pit was merciless today. Not having the website is killing me! What happened? Who didn't make it? I saw that Florian was Level 1 so I assume he was one of the victims...

High night went really in other news. KALAND DIED... in the second p-art of Haunted Library... stupid blade barrier!!!! BUT BUT.... Het raised me with ONE rez scroll and lots of luck!!! DO NOT think I wasn't sweating! I gave him a scroll to replace it and also the 5 Kargon's Tasty hams I had just pulled. I also put the "you were killed by/ raised by" stuff from my combat log into my bio. It was a great night!

Yeah, we lost 4 in the pit, Floriangeyer, Gedrel, Piedra and Tempest(I think it was tempest, tem's wizard anyway, might be misspelling it).
Piedra died and all flors rez attempts failed (I think he uses a six-sider for UMD checks... j/k flor!), the 3 left pressed on, burned thru way too much resources in the 3rd furnace room, by the time we got to the end fight we were down to our last healing, sps, etc, should probably have bailed but tried anyway, wiped in the last room.
But thats okay, wanted to tweak gedrel's build a bit anyway. At least thats what I keep telling myself.
As to the pit... we'll be back! *shakes fist*

Very sad news.

I had just logged in when people started to remove the characters from the guild. I think I am bad luck for Sublime The day I join Jacq dies and 2 days later a whole party of high levels get wiped.

Maybe this my hidden abilities changing reality so more players are playing low-level characters with me...maybe.

Don't worry Deg, it's probably not you, we have been hit with other curses in the past though:

The Mark of Death: Any character set as successor died soon after. The curse was finally lifted when the brave paladin Dudley volunteered to cleanse it's evil taint.

The Black Hole: As soon as we started granting the level 10 rewards(collapsed portable hole) the high levels started dropping like flies. Only Coto and Temryn have survived (Nock is too afraid to pick one up). This current rash of high level deaths may be related.



WEBSITE:... Well, I rolled a 1 on my UMD check and the rez scroll fizzled. It's not technical problems, was able to get around that. But dealing with the cheep hosting companies... well, you get what you pay for. I'd rather not get into it because it will become a long incoherent rant with lots of .

Deg's Doom - Any character to have partied with Deg at any point in the characters life is doomed to die in a freak accident. i.e Falling boat mid marketplace crushes character for 5,000 dmg. A dwarf looses a bet and dies from blood loss as he shaves his beard. Things like that.

Any progress with the website? Just wondering if the guild is happily posting-away somewhere as I ignorantly get lost in Mod 7 . I'm no webmaster but ... anything we can do to help?

Kaland hit level 10 yesterday Zorn. I am begging you please DO NOT give me anything! No black hole of death, no money... nothing. I am more superstitious than I care to acknowledge.

I will wait patiently for a new crew to help beat the Storm Giant and maaaaybe... just maybe... VON Series... (it's my dream).

Don't tell anybody, but neither am I. I've been learning this stuff as I go . The delay is with the domain name and while I wait for that to get cleared up I'm converting the board from phpBB 2 to phpBB 3. We will lose the guild roster but gain a lot of nice built-in features and somebody has already made a phpBB3 version of the medals mod we were using. Once the board is up and running I can start working on a phpBB3 version of the roster.

well just after I posted the above message... I went out and got my level 7th Cleric Dinzdale killed. I am on laptop on the road... and the connection sucks in the hotel.. I was asked to go on necroplis run and I said no... but went anyways... I asked to go into quest on normal it was placed on hard... I went anyways... I was having major lag issues but stayed anyways.. when the rogue was held I went to heal him and he was blocked... I went in and heals then was pronptly held... then dead... go figure.. I knew going into this place it was going to be my death...

I will from now on state my comfortability level and if that is changed then I will leave group - period.. too tough to get a player in PD to level 7.. I will not play anyone I invested that much time when I am on laptop again. And to my fellow sublimer's please respect the requests for normal vs hard.

Ahhh....I've been directed to the substitute Sublime website

Did the Threnal East run take place? For very paladinic reasons, Coto would love to get South done. As far as I know, it's never been done in open PD play. If the group is very stout, Coto can (and would be happy to) open hard for East and West.
