1st day of monk week!

Well today is the first day of "monk week," and it doesnt seem like anything is happening. No new info, events, etc. I know there is something planned for tommarow, but if thats all monk week will be is one event then thats a big disappointment.


Can we get some sort of info, compendium update, or something today? After all, we did "mark our calenders" for today for a reason I hope.

Monk week will be more than just the event tomorrow... How do I know this? Well it's obvious. If Tomorrow was it it would be called Monk "Day" not "Week" give em time, day's not over yet they're probably prepping something for later this afternoon.

Your right, I will try and put more faith in the Dev's. I know I have been really getting frustrated over monk week but I do have a good reason=

I just finished my finals and have this week, monk week, as my only week off before I begin summer school where I will have class Mon-Thur from 9am-3pm. I was so excited thinking monk week to be the release of monks and knowing I had a full week off to level my monk as really get to enjoy him as much as possible.

I certainly hope they have more planned then the monk sparring tommarow (which doesnt even seem fun to me as I dont PvP in this game), so I will try and look on the bright side. =)

There is no bright side. Monk week started with a fizzle and looks to get no better. Sparring in the taverns? What an insulting non-event. New module coming in May? Looking like June from all you can see on the Way of the Monk page. What an insulting complete lack of information. I'm not one to complain, but this has truly reached epically ridiculous proportions.

The fact that it was Memorial Day today, probably didn't fit into the equation for you all I am guessing.

Monk Week started on the 27th, not the 26th. Take a look at anything that they posted. It starts tonight at 8pm EST.

Actually your completely wrong, monk week was supposed to be the 26th-30th. Perhaps the first you heard about it was 3 days ago, but the rest of us have known this for several weeks.

I shouldn't have said "anything" they posted. I should have said look at the announced schedule from last week. For that I was wrong, but I've learned to take my schedule from the most recent information published. (Which was posted on the 23rd)

To kick off Monk Week, there will be a dojo sparring for all Monk students on the Risia Preview server Tuesday, May 27th at 8:00 PM EST (-4 GMT). Join one of our four Monk masters in the PvP taverns of Stormreach, where you may use your Monk skill against other students to experiment with your new found abilities.

Our masters of water, air, fire, and earth will be handing out hats and masks for students at the following Taverns:

They mention the whole week in that thread. but don't give any details. I know there are MANY non-US players out there but yesterday was an important holiday in the US.
