It's been said that you need to be unarmed, but I have not tested it personally.
Devs: Thanks for making Druids available to VIPs without the pack. This more than anything, has made me want to buy the pack.

Using Stunning Fist with a weapon in hand just causes the ki to deplete with no action afterwards. You must be using unarmed attacks to use stunning fist.

This should be a bug. Monks are considered capable of unarmed strikes even when they are holding items.

Stunning Fist does not actually require a FIST for the hitting, despite its name.

Because Stunning Fist is one of the few D&D powers that typically makes a monk different from other classes, I think it is very important that Turbine not penalize it with additional restrictions.

Stunning Blow works with weapons in hand, even weapons that you wouldn't think are capable of performing a stun. Its not the weapon doing the stun, but the hero ! The monk specialty attack should not be any worse off.

We did some testing last night, looking at class, race, and enhancements. There is no way to get Stunning Fist to have close to the save save as Stunning blow, so I wouldn't take it. It is to bad that an attack that is special to one specific character class and is a primary attack at that, is weaker and can be out done by other classes or I should say feat that any class can take. In other words a 16th level fighter (even though he also has all kinds of weapons, attacks, damage in his bag of tricks) can out stun a monk.

It's like spending all this time making the animations for fist fighting (the primary attack type for monks) and making the attacks so sub par to fighting with 2 weapons it makes it hard to want to use it.

Well that pretty much decides it for me. I have been thinking about swaping out this feat anyways because at least at low levels I kill off the mobs before I build enough ki to use it.
