    Default oh what to make, what to do, what to say

    For those clerics at lvl 13-16 that have gotten IN the shroud and have MADE items or weapons.
    PLEASE present what you think i should make as my first green steel item/weapon. I will give a list of what i have on a latter post.
    just post what you or anyone have made and why. what is the primary need. oh and i am a healling cleric ( no offence) and i am a DV battery

    The usual thing clerics make first is a clothing item with 200 mana and +6 wisdom on it.

    Go neg at tier 1 and pos at tier 2 to get Existential Stalemate. Put it on a hat or a necklace or whatever item you previously used for wisdom.

    STR 10+5 DEX 10+6 CON 10+4 INT 8+2 WIS 20+10 CHR 18+6
    trap blast goggles reflex +4 (yes the ones from STK still being used in the vale!!) there is no better replacement yet.
    chaosgarde bracers on a cleric... a underwater action ring of protection +3.... boots of 20% speed.... gloves of +6 dex... ring +5 str... belt +4 con...cloak +5 chr.... necklace +6 wis cepter of magi no trinket item at this time.

    I'd make the Exostetial Stalemate Items first... Probboly Googles as there are very few items that require a google slot for clerics. 200Mana +6 Wisdom +Diplo is a nice combo.

    My Battle cleric also make a Warhammer with +3 Wisdom. Nice combo if I do say so myself.

    My balanced battle cleric (CLE15/FTR1, has UMD) use post/post/post spell point goggle (so 300sp + 6 cha skill mod + true raise + greater disruption guard)

    - good for him since he did use spell on either combat/heal as well as cha skill mod help for some haggle / UMD thing. However, true Raise + Greater Disruption Guard was next to useless. If I want to redo it again, I'll go for air/air/air (with the same spell point route), which give me Air Guard and 3x haste. MUCH more useful than useless greater disruption guard and true raise.


    My casting focus cleric (CLE16, spell penetration spec) use neg/neg/neg spell point goggle (so 300 sp, + 6 int skill mod -- ok useless for him + 3x symbol of weakness (caster level 16) + slay living guard)

    - doesn't really make great use for haggle thing, so I try the slay living path. Overall, it's next to useless. Only symbol of weakness is ok. Slay Living Guard can be useful -- only if you are going to get hit a lot . If I want to redo it again, of course not going for neg/neg/neg, maybe goes for air/air/air as single foci as well.

    - he also plan to make a wisdom +3 weapon. But not in too high priority... (Wisdom 34 could already handle most thing in game without terrible trouble)


    The semi-battle cleric (CLE16) use neg/post spell point helm (tier 2 only, for wis6)

    - nothing to complain, since I didn't plan to play this cleric a lot, and I got a lot of small/medium ingredient as well as all kind of shard, I just made it up to tier 2 which upgrade from his poor +1 flaming club of magi, as well as free up a slot from his wisdom 6 helm. If I want upgarde his gear to tier 3 -- highly unlikely -- I will just pick one single focus for 100 extra sp, and forget the tier 3 special bonus)


    Holy Tactic Warrior S/E (CLE14/FTR2) use earth/earth/earth acid/acid/ac longsword, with air/air/air hp goggle (+45 hp, level 16 haste x3, air guard)


    - First thing I craft for him was the earth/earth/earth longsword. I would like to craft axe if I have choice, but oh well I choice acid/acid blast/ +4 insight AC, so when I want AC and fighting with some name (which I have no greater bane or too lazy to bring great bane with), I'll use it. Also good for DPS trash monster (ac + earthgrab is nice to have). Of course, if I want craft next weapon and I have enough large ingredient, I may just go for Element of Mineral path with acid/good blast/ac weapon.

    - Then I decide to give him more HP, and I don't want spend 24 large ingredients just for a single item (especially when my two wizard doesn't even get any green steel item yet), I just choice air/air/air for full HP route. The outcome is MUCH better than I originally expect. +45 HP is nothing to complain with, 3x 1:36 haste (caster level 16) was kinda good to have when you don't have arcane nearby or your arcane run out of sp (or you just don't bother to ask it). The 5% chance 30sec free haste and melee enemy get knock down randomly was probably the best tier 3 item I have so far ( I guess Concordinate Opposition could preform better but like I said, I don't want make any multi-focus item before all my character has at least one green steel item ). If you are going to do some melee combat with your cleric, ok, it's good to have air guard on you. (When I solo the Coalescence Chamber, I have haste like 30% of time )


    The original Holy Tactical Warrior (CLE15/FTR1), currently using air/air hp goggle (tier 2), plan to hit tier 3 for air guard.

    No, at least from the current combine table, there's no spell penetration bonus you can have from green steel craft, and the best devotion item you can craft was JUST superior devotion VI. It's not that you are not allow to craft that -- it's just not really worth the effort (consider you can very easy obtain a Super Potency VI 1 hander from AH with reasonable price, or Greater potency VII 1hander with a little bit higher price, spend your 12 large ingredient just for a Superior Devotion VI is just wrong.


    Just remember you can build either a green steel weapon, or a green steel accessory item.

    The 4th post of this thread should provide you some idea which kind of bonus effect you can choice from.
