Really? Hmmm how do we know you just didn't pick that out of thin air? I think any perspective bidder would like to know that the number you are tossing out came from an actual interested party.

Just bid or move on. Is that really so hard to do in this forum? All the different places you can crack jokes and derail threads and it always happens in the marketplace forums. My guess is he doesn't care if you believe the bid or not. If you don't believe anyone bid on it consider it the starting bid.

To be honest, I could care less where you think I pulled it from, if I said this was a PM bid only you would know nothing and place a bid and move on if interested, if you arent interested.............I'll leave at that.

Yes it very hard to do in this forum.

I wasn't cracking a joke nor would I consider that a derail. It was a legitimate point. The fact that it always seems to happen in the marketplace forums is because a number of these threads are a joke

No I don't believe him since he didn't have the decency to state who the bid came from. I doubt that the bidder would mind having their name associated with a bid he or she made. Look at the "real" auctions that people carry out on these forums...straight up no bs bid in the thread types. Anything else is suspect at best.

Someone did place a bid on it, Byz as a matter of fact. If he wanted a bare minimum he should have stated that iafter Byz put in his bid or when he placed the original post. At the very least he could have updated his post to state that there was a minimum he was looking for.

Definitely not now when your integrity and honesty are in question!

Have to agree with Vua. Either bid if you want or move on if you don't like the way it's handled for some reason. There are way too many self-appointed forum police that make so many of these posts annoying. In fact I'd say much more annoying then then outrageous posts themselves. Let folks who might want too much for their stuff be greeted with zero PMs/replies. Are you really trying to protect noobs from making a mistake or just trumpeting your own sense of uberness in valuing things? Do you go after all public claims you feel are incorrect or just feel powerful in the anonymity of a game forum? That's right, a game, try remember it's just that, no one really losing any real money here anyway.

So grow up a little, realize other forum readers are adults who can make their own decisions too and try not to take it -- or yourselves -- too seriously. If you don't like the existing post or bid (whether you believe it or not) feel free not to take part in it. Really shouldn't be so difficult...

    Talking ???

Really? Don't you think if he was going to throw out a number, it would be something outrageous? I've seen some threads where people ask for outrageous amounts... To me that weapon is worth more than 40k!!!
I just don't understand the reasoning for questioning, maybe he got a PM cause the person didn't want their identity to be known that they were bidding on the item. He did state, PM's or post was fine.
