I'm drawing a blank here *blank look* What is a Heroic startign thingy?

I'm thinking you went MEE MEE MEE on a weapon and I am stunned you didn't go with Charisma. Are you wielding both, cleansed? What about lore?

I do not have a Exceptinal con weapon i would have listed that.
14 con +3 tome +1 Human stat +6 item = my 24 con.

At level 1 in DOD you get +20 hp called somethign like heroic vitality/durability some DDO **** you dont get in PnP.

My hands hold Skiver and Shroud crafted +6str,+6 wis, +3 Exceptional cha concordent dagger(swaping with sup pot6 for nuking).

IF i did nto have A Skiver I woudl maby have considered a +2-3 con weapon.

Ok, I misread the crafting cookbook. The item and not the weapon gives HP. I took the +Cha skills on my greensteel item for UMD and a True Res clickie. That HP sure adds up fast, a little here and a little there. Grats on the Skiver. I just started the Litany quests last week and so far have 0 Zero Nada Zippo No tome pages. How long did that take you to get the Skiver by the way?

A lot of hard work, and help from a RL friend and guild mate(he gave me 3 pages), it was one of the earlest on the server, we were runing litteny a tone back then, it was brand new, [this was before the 'issues' with it were discovered] I belive it took me about 80 runs. I seam to rember it was about that was runnign 4 characters through it and had sacked+2ish or close to sacked then all twice on the center chest, and some of them reset eary since it took time to run it that mainy times

Yes my Sorc is wearing 2 items(SP one and HP one) and a weapon, I have clensed one, and working towards my secodn clenser/+3tome 27ish runs I think, I keep 5 guys on timer now, 4 are 20+ completions, & my new ranger who was fresh level 13, 29 days ago for her first shroud run My sorc as my main main was a focus to get her stuff early .... (crafted so far Sorc 3 tier 3's 1 of them duel; tank 2 Tier 3's 1 a duel and 3 scales form his next duel; ranger 1 tier 3 duel, 1 tier 2 item; cleric 1 tier 2 soon another if clensing works befor it;s tier 3; Pally 1 tier 2 soon another if clensing works befor it;s tier 3).

Those runs for the tome pages are grinding to the extreme. Makes the shroud look like kindergarten. Just finished my 20th reaver and got a choice of a Tenderizer lol. No napkin. I'm beginning to think the loot tables are a blessing and a curse. On the one hand I can get some pretty uber gear out of nowhere. On the other, I am not guaranteed anything. At least in the shroud all the ingrediants will drop sooner or later. Or, of course, we have the option to trade, or sell and buy the ones we want. But really, who wants what everyone else has. I want a skiver. :P

aye I love my skiver, and think it;s very worth it, i might think it a little less once greater then archmagi items start droping, but the combination of efects it has just cant be beat, I liek the empower and extend savings a lot my self
Psersonaly I'd be trying to make a skiver for any new casters I chose to make today especaly a sorc, but I know it;s a lot of work, and for soem mroe casual players possible to much work.

Geez, get extend man.
Ignore everyone saying you dont need it to "nuke" or that you are not a "buffer".

DDO casters have a lot more depth then that, and a good caster can do many things, not just one.
Killing requires about 5 spells:
- a fire spell
- another spell (usualy ice) for fire immune mobs
- an untyped source above lvl 5 (usually disentegrate)
- an always hit source (magic missile)
- an insta kill (FoD or PK)

Classic builds carry: MM, Scortch Ray, Firewall, Disentagrate, Polar Ray. Sometimes, add Fireball and CoC.

Well, guess what, a sorc gets over 23 spells.
So either you just have 5 spells on your bar, or you have very redondant spells, or you could increase your level of play and utility and be nuker/killer AND control AND versatility AND buffer.

What do i extend? Firewall, Disco Ball, CK, WEB (hello shroud), haste, rage, displacement, and most of my buffs. I rather extend GH/nightshield/jump/resist and not bother with it for the rest of the quest.


I don't know what "pure" killer do on the shroud part 4. They kill the gnoll then dump on the fiend then pike?
Me, i GH my party. I rage the tanks. I Haste with extend haste so that it at least last for the round. I finger the gnolls. I cast an heighten extended Web to stop the devils from porting. I Enfeeble and Exhaust the fiend each round. AND i dump some Polar Rays on him.
Am i doing the wizard's job? Perhaps. I am just happy to be able to do the job when the group only has 2 sorc, no wiz, no bard. Oh, and my killing ability is just as good has a "pure" nuking, but the party is more happy.

Once again, if you have not used any of your spell in a while, its time to switch it. I like to carry 100% spells that i use. And extend helps a lot of them.
