price check: +1 wounding of puncturing great crossbow?

How fast can you get them things going when properly feated and specced? They are 2d8 as well...so of the Xbows they are most likely to keep beating DR.

Wish I could find the book that the feat 'Weapon Loader' was in. It was generally meant for ballista, but you could apply its benefits to Crossbows. Basically it doubled the number of shots you could take in a given amount of time. Fun fun.

You might put it on the auction house for an appropriate price and get no buyers, simply because no one is in the market for one at that time. You might do better to hang on to it for trading. It won't have the Cuisinart effect of W/P rapiers with appropriate feats, but it's great con damage for a ranged weapon, so on the right character I would consider it a top-notch piece of merchandise. You just have to find someone who's in the market for one.

Thanks for the info guys. For those interested, I'd be willing to trade the crossbow for a combination of the following or other offers:

blue dragon scales
tome pages
shield pieces
good rapiers and shortswords (banish or smiting)
disruptor in another piercing, battleaxe, or dwarven axe
vorpal longsword
tomes (+2 )
platinum
universally useful stuff - bloodstone, planar gird, ring of the ancestors

I'm less interested in +6 stat items since they seem common.
