I just looked at the Kate Paiz interview again - just to play a bit of lawyer-ball - she never said "level increase" - she did talk about high level adventures:

so perfect to us that the devils were going to come in, invade us, and that we were going to push them back and then they would come back with a vengeance. For them to have any chance of reaching there goal of level 20 by the end of the year.. they would need a level raise in Mod 8... and a pick up in speed on releases..

Yeah, in case I wasn't clear - I agree that they would need to get Mod8 out reasonably quickly, with a level cap increase, and they would have to either go up 4 levels in Mod8, or quickly follow up with another level cap increase in Mod9 in order to get everything done in 2008.

However, I don't feel that they promised this, nor am I holding them accountable as if they had.

They didn't say that at all. They were just saying what needs to happen in order for Turbine to meet their projection.

I don't think any of us are under illusions about the difference between Turbine's projections and reality.

Never said that... Just said if they want to reach that stated goal..they need to pick up speed..

No they dont.

Look the only things they need to add in game between level 18 and level 20 is Mighty Rage. Thats it. Now they might want to add in new enhancements and the like, but the only new thing needed to be coded is Mighty Rage.

highlights:
new green steel recipes (quar apparently said there would be kama and qs before so i dont know if this means just those 2 for monk or if it means those 2 and more)
2 raids confirmed, new wilderness area is also a raid area
3 new monsters... sahuagin, horned devil, living spells (check out the pirate mino on the pic)
release time 2nd half of may (with the newsletter yesterday talking about monk week 26-30th, id have to say release dates probably the 28th)
quivering palm mentioned, so first time this is confirmed
monk meter will have enhancements (this was a duh thing to add but once again first confirmation)
oh yes and mod 7 will be called way of the monk

might have missed something, probably did but this is a quick overview, watch it yourself, first 6 or 7 mins is mod 1-6 last 4 mins is mod 7

I believe they need to come out with a 29.99 release for just before christmas that includes both level 20 more spell selections for both 8th and 9th and both the half orc race and the druid class. pre release sales could come with a ring of featherfall for one character by going to an npc and typing in a code... Now that would be COOL!

Only if they finally add playable minotaur race and berzerker too :P and add katana and ambidextrous as a feat. and monkey grip! Feel my wrath then.....
