    Default Wierd Launcher Error

So I'm getting onto a friends computer, and, because he often times has trouble with lag and such, I open up the task manager and end a few processes. I try and open up the game and it pops up with this error.

Application has generated and exception that could not be handled.

    Process id=0x88c (2188), Thread id-0xf9c (3996).

Click OK to terminate the application.
Click CANCEL to debug the application.

So I hit OK the first time and int closes, so i open it a gain and hit cance, but I also notice that the numbers and letters after the "id=" have changed.

I hit Cancel and this pops up

Registered JIT debugger is not available. An attempt to launch a JIT debugger with the following commant resulted in an error code of 0x2 (2). Please check computer settings.

    cordbg.exe !a 0x88c

Click Retry to have the process wait while attaching a debugger manually.
Click on Cancel to abort the JIT debug request.

So I hit both buttons on seperate occasions and nothing happens.

I have tried uninstalling, running virus scans, and restarting with no luck. I checked to make sure that my firewall is letting it through, and it is

It's a dell laptop dating to a couple years back, running the game off of an external hard drive (don't ask me why) and using Norton.

It has always worked just fine (although with LOTS of lag) until now.

Also, when I restarted the computer, all of the processes I stopped were back (as far as I could tell)

    Thanks

    V
