Madstone Rage from boots being in inventory

I just ran my 80th reaver, took the madstone boots cause I have nearly everything else...

Problem is I took them on my caster, why? well let's just say why not

So... I heard a rumor that you can get madstone rage by being hit even when not wearing the boots... Can I get confirmation on this?


I will post back if I find this to be true, in my experience.

It's possible to get madstone even if they're in the bank... some monsters with a Madstone attack can put it on you anytime they want.

Stay out of Madstone Crater, and it won't be a problem.

I've never seen this happen. Perhaps this rumor started when someone had the boots in their inventory then went into Madstone Crater and got the rage after getting hit by a mob.
