What's a smiting rapier worth?

LOL, I don't think you understand it's the best smiter in the game. You could easily get 200-300K plat for it, or maybe 2 or 3 larges. There are power 5s and there are Ubers, this is an uber.

I would offer two larges for each of them, as I would like both of them. Now only one scale/stone and a misc large is what im offering. Send me a message if ya are interested. I would infact make this offer for the first 4 responses with Rapiers and the first response with a like scimitar. +1 smiting rapier of nothing or better.

DO not pay attention to this post, it is completely wrong. It is only accurate for 20 crit weapons.

Smiting rapiers are at least worth 200k plat, probably quite a bit more. If any future mod includes a large amount of constructs (like Mod 5 did), then you could expect to it go back up to the 750k-1m PP that this item would have been worth then (and that banishing rapiers are still worth now).

I agree, it's a buyer's market right now with the only (smiteable) vale constructs the ones in rainbow. If you're not desperate for plat, then better to hold onto it in the hopes of it becoming more valuable.

Just curious, are you saying Rapier is the best smiter? Seems to me that Scimitars and Kukri's also make very good smiters AND, you can also dual wield kukri's like you can rapiers. Since dmg is secondary, my opinion would be rapier's and kukris make the best smiters.

Anything which crits on an 18 is optimal.

Rapiers can also be finessed.

All Smiting rapiers are worth absolutely nothing......that's right nothing!!

As such, all Smiting rapiers, as well as Banishing and WoP rapiers should immediately be mailed to Geonis, as I may see fit to send you something of at least minor value in it's stead.

Yes, that is what we are saying. Most Elfs, rogues, Dex fighters, took weapon finesse to get the best crit range along with improve crit pierce to max the DPS of the rapier. Not as many take improv crit slash to get the most outta the kukri (low dps) and scimatar (not finesseable). Not many people (other than I) are foolhardy (read dumb) to take both. Since rapiers are used by more toons that makes tham of greater value. The order of smiting value goes...
Rapiers (by far worth the most <--IMO just under w/p)
Kukris
Khopeshes (cuz tons of toons use these)
Scimatars
