Sour grapes, I am glad I have enough time/money to play this game and I am glad that they keep developing content for us. I enjoy the interaction with my guild mates. I look forward to exploring the new quests/raids. I have very little interest in the monks but I am not going to bash anyone for there development, some folks where really looking forward to there introduction. My main thing is new content and the raising of the cap, although there won't be a cap raise with this mod, those are the things I look forward to in the game. The monks may be the focus of this mod but they are also introducing an expanded crafting system among other things. I am not going to go on about the have nots, just what we have.
Who will be disappointed? Simple to answer. It will be all the gamers out there that whine and cry, that moan and groan, that fail not to wail. The glass is 1/2 empty so why don't I just pay $15 dollars so I have a better open forum to put my soap box infront of.
Save the cash and hit up yahoo games or hello kitty island adventures.

Dude you kill me. Always right on. Hello Kitty. lol. Well, since I have a whole page filled with kamas and quarterstaves of greater banes, power 5, and another with +2 tomes, I'll just be happy enough to free up the bank space, whether or not I like playing the monk.![]()
Also, to the OP, raiding or looting is what most people do when they aren't leveling their toon. Creating low-level quests is really not going to keep this game alive when they are most often kind of a distraction and aren't played that often. When's the last time you saw a desert caravan lfm in it that didn't say "favor" in it? I dunno, unless it has a named item in it, side quests, as it were, don't have as much value as raids for the majority of the player base.

I would very much appreciate it if one of the many psychics in this thread who already know exactly how much the new mod is going to suck/rock without even having seen it would let me know what the winning Virginia lottery numbers will be. I need to pay off some debts and could use the cash.
Thank you!
I never plan to be disappointed. That's a self-fulfilling prophecy I can do with out. Random real life dishes out enough disappointments without me scheduling it on the calendar.

I'll be dissapointed if the caster AI isn't fixed. It's assinine right now. Might as well take them out and replace them with melee types.

I like the new stuff. The AI does seem different in some quests that I have been in.
Turbine need to do 2 things:
1) Put content in for existing players
2) put content in for new players (and content to get new players).
They have increased the level cap, added crafting, added high level raids, etc. So with Mod 7 we get a new class (good for all players) Some rework on low level areas (WW was a surprise) good for some old and the new players, revised and expanded 3 barrel cove (good for both) and added 3 new raids (good for high levels) and expanded crafting (good for both). That seems to be a pretty balanced approach to what is really probably the biggest mod they have ever released. (The new class had to take HUGE amounts of time and resources to do). Yes it has fewer quests, but it has more total content.
There is no way to keep all players happy all the time. IF they released 100 new quests, the power gamers would blow through it in a month at most and be complaining that there were too few, etc.
So it is a balance issue, and I think they did quite well with this mod.

I know they will fix it. The devs who code such things have more pride than this. They cringe every time a caster runs up, bumps into them, then runs away firing off a spell at the wall. Even more than we do, they know it sucks. As players we encourage them and let them know it's a priority. Nothing wrong with that. It's valuable feedback.
I'd really love the point blank spell fizzle to be fixed. Really tired of casting on something that is right in my face, seeing the SP drop, seeing an effect (or not) and having nothing happen. That is getting old.
