Might actually make a Dwarven BattleMage a lot more viable. Currently that build is relegated almost exclusively to WF, but I could see it working on a Dwarf Wizard build, too, with Dwarven Armor Mastery goodies and Blue Dragonplate.

Adding it isn't a horrible idea, but I can see why Turbine would be reluctant. The fact is that DDO wizards/sorcs have so little need for AC right now that they'd find it hard to justify more SP on each spell just so they can walk around in armor.

One creative approach to adding Still Spell to DDO would be to modify it so you only paid the extra spellpoint cost if you actually needed it. That is, you'd roll the ASF failure check first, and pay the +10 sp only if it failed. But that would probably be too strong, so a compromise could be found.
If you add this and Silent Spell* to the game, the stealth mages would (or at least should) be able to cast without leaving stealth mode. Personally, I'd love to see this, just for the sake of sneaking up behind things and giving the arcane equivalent of a wedgie via irresistable dance.

Again, potential for abuse abounds, but nothing I can foresee as game breaking, especially since an aggro'd mob can run straight at you even when you're stealthed (after ducking out of line of sight) and invisible.

*- As far as I can tell, from casting spells behind things, spell casting does not create a noise like walking without stealth on/breaking a crate/etc. I'd actually like to see that implemented, so I have an excuse to take silent spell, not to mention the extra challenge when sneaking around.

AHHH nope ! Casting spells has to remove Invis and hidden or it will be exploited to the max. now if you
say it will be less likely a mob in another room separed by a door might not hear you...I can bite on that.
