    Default Feat advice please!

    I have a level 14 halfling cleric (Phenixx). I have gone the way of the dragonmark. My feats are least and lesser dragonmarks, extend, quicken and empower healing. I want the last dragonmark feat at level 15. I have been thinking about switching a feat and adding maximize for healing and BB. My question is would you and which feat would you switch. Thank you in advance for your help!

    I don't have quicken and I find that I have never had issues ... even at level end game.

    If I was going to swap one out then it would probably be quicken.

    Consider what you are using Extend for...doe it still matter. My cleric does not carry it, because in most quests, 16 minutes is still a long time, you often have another shrine before then, or in higher end encounters get things dispelled before then, in which case the extra cost is lost. You always get the benefit of quicken or maximize since they happen as you cast the spell.

    If you are a martial focused cleric and REALLY want to keep the Divine Power and Prayers going longer, you can save a few SP with extend, but otherwise it is often a waste. Hold Person? If anything lives long enough for extend to matter, we have serious other issues with the group. Extended Blade Barrier. Sometimes, but again, most of the time all you are buying is often just watching the blades spin around uselessly after the mobs are dead.

    Before you swap, keep some notes on Extend and see how much it really comes into play (or not) for most of your clerics spells.

    Zen makes a good point.

    Extend may be coming to the end of its usefulness (at end game levels).

    My mid level cleric has Extend on her list still, but will probably swap it out once she gets some more levels.

    Now for my Bard, that is another story entirely. Extended Haste, Displacements, Disco Balls, all get cast almost every encounter where appropriate.

    Not saying you MUST have extend feat or so, but extend was never lose it's usefulness in "end game", especially for Retication / Prayer / Blade Barrier / Symbol (if you are not using Divine Power).

    I did hear such kind of tone show up in every module, and apparently never see it's day coming any time soon

    But how useful is it to extend a spell beyond the duration of a battle or make it last longer in a fixed location. Recitation and Prayer are among the handful of spells where the extra duration might be put to use, but even then, that is not clear. Really depends on the group and the quest. I can not recall how many times we have moved on from a location with extended spell effects still spining or dancing or whatnot and doing nobody any good at that point. That is why I suggested he track what spells he is using and see if it matters to his playstyle.
