    Default Able to login sometimes

I am able to login sometimes, after like 5 tries and the client times out, but then once I am in the game the game is virtually unplayable due to lag. Most of the time I have to restart the game and then go through the connection process again which doesnt work most of the time. This is all since the latest patch, before that I was playing fine.

I have been reading the other threads and I have never had DDO on a firewall exception list, my firewall has never tried to stop it before this patch so I do not see why it would try to stop it after. I went into the routwer and disabled the firewall to see if it helped at all and it changed nothing about the connection or the lag. Please help!

    Default Please help

I have cycled my router, added, removed and readded dndclient to my exception list, uninstalled, downloaded and fresh reinstall, everything I can think of and I can log in and get to where my character is on screen. Then it freezes due to lag and times out. Every time I log in this happens. Any ideas on what could be causing this sort of crazy timeout lag?

Disabling the firewall will not solve the problem (if it is the issue) you will want to add exceptions for the game. But try doing a clean boot and see if that allows you to connect.

    1. Click Start, type msconfig in the Start Search box, and then press ENTER. If you are prompted for an administrator password or for a confirmation, type the password, or click Continue
    2. On the General tab, click Selective Startup
    3. Under Selective Startup, click to clear the Load Startup Items check box
    4. Click the Services tab, click to select the Hide All Microsoft Services check box, and then click Disable All
    5. Click OK, and then click Restart

Once this is done please launch the game and try playing.
