    Default Does this make any sense?

    Now I know that I rarely make sense but I had a strange thought as I was picking the lint from my belly button - How does so much lint accumulate in there?

    No actually my thought was this - in making the conversion from a turn-based game to a real-time game could/should all "per day" abilities be made into short duration abilities and could/should all feats/skills/abilities such as multi-shot to be a stance?

    I'm sure this has been discussed before but I have early on-set alzhiemers and tend to forget things very quickly.

    It just seems that having a blanket approach would keep things better balanced than deciding ability by ability.

    I'm sure that I haven't fully captured what I'm trying to say but my head hurts from having a semi-serious thought.

    Well first off it is not alzhiemers you suffer from... it is more of a self induced aflection you impose on yourself with drinking. With that said I also suffer from it as well and am not really sure if it has been discussed as a blanket change but from all my sources Multishot is actually a stance in pnp and not a timered thing. However if I am not mistaken you are also more limited on the number of arrows you can carry instead of the thousands of arrows you can carry in the game and on top of that we have 75% returners available which means you could pretty much always have it on and then restock between missions and that would make it WAY over-powered. As for the other things in your list *shrug* but i do know it has been talked about on the forums before.

    And now to be serious.
    The idea is a good one. In PnP there is not a lot of combat between rests and usually after 2-3 fights the group will be forced to rest and get all their abilities back. This game is more combat oriented and the monsters stats are inflated, so having an ability that can be used a few times per day is a drop in the bucket. Smite evil is the perfect example. A well timed smite in DDO means nothing, but a well timed smite in PnP can mean the difference between life and death.

    Many shot is a good example of this. With the 2 minute cooldown you need to be careful when you activate. Activating your many shot at a critical moment can turn the tide of a battle *cough* orange named who cast heal *cough*.

    Rage is also another good example. Barbs can't always run around with rage on (even though they can be raged for a long time) and when they are raged their enhancements kick in and they do make a difference.

    Smite Evil is a bad example. While one smite may put up big numbers, you only get 8 (versus all the arrows of many shot and a barbs attack rolls while raged). At the same time you need to stop your attack chain to set this ability off.

    It would be difficult to have all the abilities to translate this way. Bard songs have a limited use per day but because they aren't a one shot deal, this ability is not underpowered.

    Since I gotta get some work done...1 shot abilities should be given a duration with a cooldown (ex. smite), but abilities that have a duration (ex. rage, bard song) seem to be okay.
