Question/Poll: How Many Clerics Like to Tank the Reaver?

Just a quick question really.

Do you like to tank the Reaver with your cleric?

I know it's no big thing nowadays, but I've been tanking the reaver on my two clerics of late and was wondering who else likes doing it.

Like to do it or could do it? Two different things.

You well know it is so much easier to just play momma hen to the tank. (if you have anything decent doing it). And just nuke any stray elementals that come that way.

Yeah; hence the "like to do it" question.

Sure, it's easy either way. Just wondering if anyone else likes doing it.

Gonna do it after my Holy Tactical Warrior Second Generation hit level 16 (Just test-run it with another tank few days ago and looks like Reaver do little harm on me while I'm swinging my giant bane weapon. One of the reason was I could hit STR 30 instead of 27 right now which make the aggro holding much easier)

May as well do it on my original holy tactic warrior (1st edition)

Does a Warforged Sorcerer count for this question (I could be considered the "cleric" to 'forged)? If so, I like to tank the Reaver (when people let me).

I tank him with Lendra. Have been doing it since I capped her shortly after MOD 4 went live. I enjoy doing it, and prefer to do it in groups I lead.

I definitely prefer to do so. Much less boring.

That said, if I am the sole cleric in the instance, I won't tank him, I'm not 100% sure I can heal enough to prevent deaths that way.

As for overcharging - it happens, and it does about 60 damage to me each time. That's about 15% of Numot's HP. So no, I'm not scared of it at all.

I like tanking him when I solo it... I tried to get a Pet to do it once but it didnt work out so well. My Dwarf Cleric has tanked him before in Pugs.... Because no one else wanted too..

I tank him every time I can, unless it puts the party in jeopardy (I am the only cleric) or if it is going to make a tank feel inadequate.

Personally I think a cleric that understands the movement mechanics of the reaver is the best tank there is. Shield block and searing light, mass heals on chargers.

Me too, although thanks to those 'Arcane Types' spoiling my fun, I think the most kills I've gotten in was 25.

I'm WAY to lazy and cheap to try to solo it!

mmm best I got IIRC was 22...hard to keep up with those Sorcs....but that was before I had Quicken on the Hotbar....mmmm


Was in a run last night with the main tank being a cleric (was on my bard). Just kept him displaced and dropped a haste and songs every now and then, and spead out some dancing balls for good measure....smooth run. (Lost one Sorc to ceiling slicing...and someone got floored by an elemental and dirt napped while out of range...but that was all...)
