    Actually, that situation fits the description of seeker more than extended crit. More force (seeker bonus damage) gives more chance for a critical hit (seeker confirm crit bonus). Somehow, I don't think many barbarians would settle for that, however.

    Another argument against critical rage- just plain overkill.

    A normal person, of normal strength, that gets a good solid hit on someone with a weapon actually needs relatively little muscle to maim or kill. Beyond that it quickly becomes overkill.

    True, rage might help you get that six inch deep wound in a chest that's a good nine inches long- a solid critical hit- but truth be told a wound half that size would probably take out most characters.
