    Default Slay Living Guard

Can someone please explain the slay living guard on an aspect of negative energy II item?

Is it a % chance of going off upon being hit, then the mob has to save?

    or

Is it upon being hit, the mob has to save?

    or

Is it use per day (upon getting hit goes off once per day)?

    or

Some other way of being implemented?

From what I understand, there is a chance, however small it may be, that when you are hit by a mob, it will have to save against Slay Living or die.

Would you know what that chance would be?

I went into WW, with only the slay living guard on and let the kobolds pound away at me. Not one of them died, nor did I see and "save" message pop up from any of them.

I would like to know if anyone else tried this effect out? If it worked or is this bugged?

I ran kobold assault solo with my triple-negative short sword. I think I killed 1 or 2 kobolds with slay living. My guess is the proc rate is less than 1% for the weapon. If the equipped item is similar, the rate is extremely low almost to the point of being entirely negligibile.

Thats what I thought. If it is 1% + save chance kinda makes that ability worthless. I would have kept my deathblock item went for a different effect.

    Oh well... *sighs

I had assumed it was 3%. What did I base that on? I forget...

    Thumbs down

This is a HUGE letdown on teir 3 items with a chance to trigger. I was horribly disappointed with my earthgrab great sword--I may see it trigger 2 or 3 times per quest. Not worth the grind.

I agree completely. Personally, I really don't think that is worth it. For the amount of time needed to grind the raid, tier III items should be extra-ordinary. A 1-3% chance + they get a save, is NOT extra-ordinary. Make it a 10-20% chance + Save, or 5-10% chance with NO save. That would be worth the third tier grind.

I've noticed a lot of people just getting tier 2 items and saying t3 isn't worth it ...
