Character Account Transfer?

My friend started playing DDO last summer when he was house-sitting for me while I was out of the country for a few months. I told him he could play if he wanted and I showed him how to roll up a toon before I left. When I got back the toon was nearly xp capped! On occasion he plays that toon since it's high level, but we can't play at the same time so he finally started his own account. I keep threatenling to kill his toon when Monks come out, which I hardly have the heart to do - can that toon be transferred to his account?

No account to account tranfers at this time but who knows about the future and as to monks we can hope they give us a slot for one

The risk of promoting professional power levelers will likely keep this from ever being implemented.

Considering that allowing someone else to use your account is a violation of the EULA, I doubt that they would ever support it by offering a off-account transfer of characters.

I doubt that they would ever bother anyone for sharing, but they certainly wouldn't support it in such a way. Then again, that's just my opinion.

That would fall directly under the "don't ask, dont tell." rule.

(Although the rule has already been busted out by admitting he/she let someone else on the account. But then, I also wasn't going to point that out. Drat it.)

Hmmm... didn't realize it was against the rules to let someone else use the account. It benefitted Turbine though because I was going to shut off my account while I was gone but left it on as a perk for my friend house-sitting, and not only did they keep their income for that period but it eventually led to another paid account when he finally got his own.

I do see the potential for power-leveling services and what not if they allowed account to account transfers so I'll assume it won't happen and, well, his toon will live until I need the slot. I figured I'd ask to make sure before I destroy a perfectly good lvl 16 sorceror (I feel bad doing it, he's not gonna like it obviously).

I'd bet with a bit of twinkage your friend could PL back to 16 in no time at all.

I do see the issue of power leveling toons, but at the same time some of us have 2 accounts and would LOVE to be able to consolidate our favorite toons onto one account. I don't see turbine offering that service like they do on other MMOs (We've done it on EverQuest, cost $50). I guess for now I'll just have to maintane 2 accounts, which isn't a horrible thing It would be nice maybe if they would let you at least transfer toons, for a fee, between 2 accounts that are both yours and that have the same billing info, know it's just wishfull thinking though. Peace
