Apparently, not, there have been some good suggestions along with bad ones posted here still, if they can eliminate the mail spam they should be able to reduce the global spam. You have to wonder if they decided to quit following the thread after the first 3 or 4 pages.

But it's instigated by them,it doesn't make them look too good to be like "ok folks,we hear you are fed up with spamming,please list your suggestions here by the hundreds so we can ignore all of them in one thread instead of having 100 threads to ignore,thank you."

This just in: Turbine was poised to consider actually doing something about spam, but failed their apathy check. As it turns out, the apathy dice roll gets a bonus based on the amount of subscription cancelations received over this issue, and since that number is too small, Turbine simply cannot overcome the apathy and do something constructive.

(Not that my post is particularly consructive either, but I'm not in a position to do anything beyond ignore the issue (which Turbine already does enough of for the both of us), vent as I'm doing, or cancel my subscription which I'm not ready to do.

Maybe the dev's just want DDO to be more like WoW... I mean, have you ever played WoW? Have you seen the frenetic pace of spam in *that* game? Haven't you noticed how the spam in DDO has increased as more former WoW players join DDO? I suppose, in Turbine's eyes, DDO is slowly gaining in popularity... the trend seems to be that you need more spammers before you can gain more players.

Turbine are you ashamed at how incompetently you are handling / actively ignoring this issue.there needs to be a minimum of communication on player issues and your communicating skills suck just as much as mine.The thing is I am paying you to do it and not vice versa.

No one forces Turbine employees to read this stuff. Anything to do with plat spam is obviously a sticky issue.

The junk mail change was very effective. The "quick spam reports" is 100% ineffective. The CC for trial accounts is also 100% ineffective.

Turbine has had plenty of time to deal with the issue. Had they been trying and simply failing, I know I would be much happier. Since they've chosen to go silent on the subject, it upsets me more and more each time I log in, and I believe others are equally upset about their lack of communication. Even if tomorrow they annouce they've found the silver bullet, and the problem is behind us now, there will still be bad blood between them and some customers, myself included. Clear and continuous communication is far more important than results the instant results aren't happening. Anyone that's ever been married knows this without doubt.

I'm going to take my time to read through your post to make sure i can understand the loads of information in it.
