We've all pulled them. The neon pink mithril plate. The 2ft high cardboard tube crown.
The potted plant cap with the fern on front. The flourescent green tea-towel waist wrap docent.
The swirly blue seaweed circlet that wears 2 sizes bigger than your head.
Some have good stats that you hate not to wear and causes you stand out like a warforged in all halfling party.

Let's hear it. What have you pulled that looks hilarious on your toon.

It's hard to look like an intimidating warforged tank wearing a pink docent and a flower pot on your head. How the hell is that rogue really pulling off sneak attacks while draped in dayglo green and a helmet with horns that protrude 2 feet on each side of his head. And you have to wonder how anyone can make a listening check with the wrap around tin can helmets.

Silver Flame Heavy armor and light armor (abbot turn-ins), they're just hideous.
You don't see any male Silver Flame NPCs wearing the light armor because it's so girly, they wear the robes which actually look pretty good.
Oddly enough you don't see any Silver Flame NPCs wearing the full plate either, they were a different decent looking armor.

One of my hopes for crafting was to be able to change the look of armor/shields/etc. It would be fun, take gold out of the game, and could be implemented with no worries about unbalancing or upsetting game play.

I am sorry are you insulting PINK? You can't be. I must have misunderstood because to defame this fabulous color is simply unacceptable.

My WF proudly wears her PINK docent with pride. I tried on a million different armors until I found a PINK one for my cleric.

My hope for crafting is that I can turn everything PINK.

Also just a funny story

About two nights ago my brother and I were on and running with a group and he pulled a +3 mfp "pink" we had to laugh as we ran everywhere showing him off. He got so frustrated that I took pity on him and decided from then on for the rest of the night he would be perma barked. He appreciated it and I have to say after a couple of minutes of laughter the look of him just didn't fit in with the though of a bunch of stalwart adventurers off to fight evil. And it was ghastly...


Oh well here's to hoping that for every pink docent and armor set there is a ranger with a sense of compassion and a 16 min barkskin.

It is lesser ice guard +5 docent of lesser cold resistance..
I call it his peppermint pastile...

Finally pulled my first set of +4 Mithril Heavy Plate. Of course it was pink.

I prefer the frilly pink docets on my wf. All the monsters just stop and point and laugh when they see it....which gives me the chance to step in and vorpal them all while they're distracted.

I was once told, and I tried it once and it seemed to work.... if you pull say a full plate armour, the first time it is worn it will take the colour of your helm. So I tried it... once wearing a reddish helm I put on newly pulled armour and it went reddish, then I got a blue helm later, and pulled better armour, put it on and it went blue... so who knows, maybe that works with Docents too?

On another note, what is with the asymetrical epelets? It droves me crazy, all that work to get the dragonscale plate (blask, 'cause it looks cool) and I am saddled with a perch for a pirate's parrot?

Even if I want and try hard, I'm still unable to pull a good pink mith fp. I have a nice looking pink armor on my cleric, but it's only +5 fp, I stand with you Rowanheal.

BTW the Silver Flame light armor looks simply awesome on my female human bard, I love the look of that armor.

The Pouldron (shoulder plate armor) for the left shoulder was commonly larger than that for the right, because a knight would ride left shoulder forwards and it allowed more freedom for the right arm. While historically this was a modification which came primarily out of jousting, it was also beneficial to a sword and shield style of combat for additional defense on the left arm.

+3 Fearsome Docent that I bought off of the AH. That was pink. That I swear had little straps and a headband that made my brooding, red-eyed, skull mouthed barbarian look like he should have been on Fame (that was the name of it, right?). I put it back on the AH the next day...
