Okay, first post has been updated.

Also, instead of PMing each of you privately...for those of you who have trouble with jumping around on part 3...

1. Get a jump +13 or +15 item, bring it with you and equip it just for your puzzle.
2. Bring jump potions or clickie.
3. Look down. Seriously...change the camera view angle while you are jumping to down. You'll find it much easier to jump and land where you want to.
4. Go practice by jumping around on tables at a tavern.

and remember...those chests are OPTIONAL. If necessary we can just break crystals and get you out. All we care about is beating the fiend.

Well, in the unlikely chance that there is a spot for me... I'd like to bring Kaylesa, who is bow specced and has Manyshot and a Holy of Gr Evil Outsider Bow which would help greatly in parts 4-5... either way if there are enough alts, perhaps there could still be 2 groups?

I'm sorry - yes, there were a couple of cancellations - but we had more alts than we had cancellations, so why change it now? Why not let the groups fill as much as they could and let the leaders decide if they wanted to find other clerics, or combine down to one group? Just seems like you've told 14-17 people "Thanks for signing up weeks in advance, but you're on the Will-Call list..."

A pity - I thought this was a great idea to bring together a whole bunch of folks that may not play together very often...

I do apologize Lostinjapan and all. I miscalculated the timezone change (due to DST). I work until 12 PM and thought that that was perfect timing... but in actuality left me 1hr late.

I have to say a few things...

1) The group did much better than I expected. Not saying anything bad about an all-cleric group...more like I knew I was/am seriously out of it as I've been sick for a week and on meds. Figured I'd die in every part....but I didn't die at all.
Part 1: We did fine on the portals (a little slow but fine).
Part 2: We did fine on this part. Had a small spot of trouble with the fire elemental but otherwise seemed like it went fine.
Part 3: All puzzles were solved and the last fountain filled (barely!) before the wall came. We got the extra chests.
Part 4: Had a bit of lag and a death right thru the portal, followed by a few more deaths...however, the biggest problem was the lack of DPS.

We cut our losses in part 4 and took the dim door out.

2) I changed it a short time before start time yes because I could already tell quite a few of the people who had signed up were not going to be there. There are quite a few in that list that I know who all their alts are.

3) Even after removing those people who were courteous enough to let me know ahead of time they couldn't make it because of illness/timer/RL events, we had over 25 people sign up or request to be listed as alts and I -still- had difficulty filling the last 2 spots. This is inexcusable.

If you sign up for something, make the effort to be there or at least have the courtesy to let whoever is organizing know ahead of time that you won't be there.

I'm sorry if I sound peevish about this but I feel it is within my rights to be so. You (the people who signed up and didn't show up without notice) not only inconvenienced me, you inconvenienced the rest of the people who DID show up. It is rude.

I won't be doing this again because I just don't have the patience to deal with people who can't be courteous.

I'd like to publicly thank Lostinjapan for organizing and leading this event and honoring her word and showing up despite being sick. Despite not being able to go beyond past part 4, we had many last minute inpromptu spots and for what it was, I thought it went quite well. I appreciate the group accepting my lowbie Archer Cleric at lvl 13, and I must say I had not had that much fun in a long time playing a cleric, that's for sure. Again, thanks for all who participated and made it fun, perhaps someone else might attempt to organize some other event of sorts in the near future. I'm sure one of these days there will be a 100% Cleric party beating this raid, as from what I could observe the trouble spots could be worked on with proper weapons (Vorpals for orthons and the right DPS toys for the fiend, etc).

Yes, thank you for organizing this. I am sorry I couldn't make it - I could have been there about 75 minutes late, but at least I started out on the ALT list.

3.5 parts of the raid is pretty good.. and we should all think about DPS should we get a chance to recap.. your list was spot on - rage clickies and high-plus transmuters are a start.

How many of the clerics had upgraded green steel weapons? Mine does not.. I built a worn item first and am working on the 3rd upgrade for it... I was thinking a lightning weapon might be the way to go.. Divine Power and lightning might actually get Harry to notice you. Let out your inner BC.

I would like to throw out a 'congrats' to all that grouped for the Shroud on the all-Cleric run. Having been on a couple all-Cleric raids, it's great to get together with other quality folks and see how everyone handles themselves. Great jobputting it together!


As a side Lost, I hope that you aren't angry with me. I didn't want to let my handicap get in the way of completion, so I tried to bow out with several days notice to cause less of an issue. I KNOW that I don't have what it takes to organize something like this, so I'd like to give you props for doing it.

Congrats on getting as far as you did folks. My Brothers wedding went great... as fun as it would of been to be part of this all cleric raid, RL is my priority.

Lost, As a Person who has organized and run several all cleric raids, I tried to warn you early in the thread about about how many people to expect. THis is a game and stuf gets in the way sometimes. Even with 20+ interested for my Raids in the past, I'm always LFMing the last spot or 2. THats just the way it goes.
