Is it Possible?

To have a character / build that is good at ranged with repeater and still good at TWF.. or at least able to switch between the two. I wouldn't mind using a bow also sometimes also..

I am thinking ranger since ranger gets some of the twf feats for free.. Having decide on Race - Human is nice for the extra feat but other races have their benefits also..

I did play one of the orginal Tempist Rangers 1.5 years ago before I quit the game - I am just back and having difficult in deciding what my alt should be.. but I do have some ok repeaters.. ie.. +2 cursespewing light repeater of puncturing.. for later in the game.. or would it be better to be a bard.. hmm

Just build your Tempest Ranger like you always would (sans one feat). All it takes is one exotic proficiency feat for a ranger to use a repeater effectively. You already get Rapid Shot and (Improved) Precise Shot as class abilities.

Yep... pretty much any ranger that takes Weapon Proficiency: Heavy repeater is good with TWF and with a repeater. Unless you strangely have a terrible starting dex, but that's pretty unlikely.

I would add that unless you just dumped strenght you are probably better with a good longbow than a repeater simply becasue it will do more damage and you can use manyshot with it and it requires no additional feats.

Beyond that my only advice is take improved crit ranged and improved crit (slashign or piercing) at levels 9 and 12

I plan on using bows when I have manyshot up and repeater when it is not and twf melee when the combat get in close.

My old Tempist is on my old 2nd account just activated it to get the weapons off the old tempist ranger..

You really get a huge advantage when using a repeater for a Power 5 with the increase fire rate and critical range.

That was my plan.. I have a few repeating puncturing weapons waiting.
