mythe, you need to empty your mailbox, found another pop 1 yesterday.

personally, i twink to lower leveling costs - mainly because i have no problem with being self sufficient and i solo a lot. its much, much cheaper to mail that +4 mcs to my new level 7 rogue than to mail the extra 50 csw pots to her because she got hammered like a crooked nail in her +1 chain shirt.

    some notes

blindness pots - these really should be handed down from toon to toon. i have a stack of 100 woodblossum meads that rarely gets touched.

the solo warehouse quest - you get 2 free starter clw pots for very little chance at damage. ransack it if you have too

LOL I'll log Mythe on in a hour get right on that.

Another good place to get pots if you don't want to twink, the first two parts of the Cartamon series. In both cases there are a ton of boxes to smash and potions drop frequently especially a lot of resist potions. Actually the third part is good for equipment as well a lot of good named items.

When I start a character, I always to try to get some funds fairly quick to
buy Healing pots, resist pots, lesser restore pots, remove curse, remove
blindness, and neutralize poison. I will even farm the tangleroot area for the
collectables when I am without a group.

As far as twinking, the last three characters I made were handed 50k plat
and had items upto level 5 before I even rolled them up. I buy their potion
supply and outfit their equipment first off. This way I can just quest quickly
to get past the content that I have run the most. Gwylann's stand is probably
the first quest I actually enjoy when I am leveling up a new character now.
All quests before it (Gwylans) are just a means to level.
not to pin the fault on you, but you refused to back away from your positions and insisted everyone follow yours
If you want to know why...

Word on the street is that Stormreach has mail service, and that Qwijy goes so far as to guarantee delivery by mail.

Of course, the only thing Qwijy sells that a lowbie could use is cure serious potions. But... don't forget about special orders!

I'll talk to The Qwij and see if he would consider putting a newbie package together... say 100 of each resist, 100 cures, 100 curse, 100 fear.

I always super equip my toons with all the pots and whatnot. Thanks to all the people who post great lowbie stuff on the AH at reasonable buyouts - this make levelling a lot easier.

One other thing I've learned is that it's cheaper to buy wands for clerics than healing pots. Every lowbie cleric I run with who shows signs of competence gets wands at the beginning and ends of quests. Ones that are active on voice and fun to play with get amounts of plat at the end of quest that while meaningless to me probably seem totally obcene to them. Our donations to these new players can help build a stronger player base on the server.

I was in a TR elite1-2 hard 3-7 run, and the cleric was 100% totally new to the quest. I was patient, answered questions, informed her of any pitfalls in the quest, and she did a darn good job, so I gave her a healthy amount of plat from my twinked barb as a way to say thanks.

That is what I like most about this game, teamwork

I know for a fact that Gtar personally delivers decent sized orders. Even in the harbour for new players.

You are getting flamed on it because you refuse to see any point of view other than your own.

    OP:

    I agree totally.

    Default In my backpack

I always not only carry pots for me, but I carry wands for clerics and mages. I am a dwarf, but I try and keep one Repair wand as well for those WF that I may see. I alway have a CSW or two as well as 5 to 6 raise scrolls now that my clerics and can cast it. I remember when I created my first toons. Back in those days you ran Redwillow at lvl 4. The gear was sick. Then they shut the quest down and nerfed it so bad that, well you see it now. I am just glad to see SC and TS have not been nerfed to bad. If I am running a lowbie one of my bags are full of pots and wands. You never know when a new mage might think MM is a stupid spell and you dont find out until you have jumped down the pipe to STK lol.
Once you go Dwarf you will never go back
