Good Afternoon-
The shroud is bugged in P2 - you cannot damage the crystal after killing the leiutenants in sync with ranged weps or spells.
Looks like it's lowbie time.

Ouch. That's a major oopsie.
Yup - We set up a group, breezed through everything as normal then realized would couldn't damage the crystal.
After a couple rounds of killing everything and trying different methods to shatter the crystal we determined nothing will damage it.

LOL! I expected something like this. Nothing ever gets fixed in any game really where something else doesnt break... the difference is if this is true it will remain unplayable till mod seven. Turbine will only hot fix things that are exploits, things that help us. If it hurts us or makes our game unplayable we have to just sit around *****ing until the next mod...
anyone else hear drums? I do... hmm.... sound like conan drums...
it looks like a little down time has now turned into a major down soon, lol![]()

More stealth changes...
Nothing in the release notes talks about anything that could of changed this.
Why do we not get the real patch notes?
The more honest you are with your customers, the more appreciative they will be when these things happen.
Did you guys try sound burst? I know the crystals take double damage from Sonic. Just my first thought.

you have to kill atleast one djnn, whether it be fire or air.
And in all seriousness, when was the last time u knew anyone who used the item to bypass the fight? quicker and easier to smack him in the head than sludge ur way thru the basement. Although it does present a means to bypass the bug.
Shadowsteel [TR train wreck]
3rd attempt on wiz king, even the red djnn bugs out

Looks like for now if ya wanna do WK your gonna have to get the orbs from the side quests.

lol so they broke 2 raids with fixes so small and seemingly unimportant one will wonder why they patched at all. (DQ being unplayable since u cant beat wiz king to flag for it)
And the buged parst seem totally unrelated to the fixes.
I mean they previously already fixed the crystal - the thing was fixed and perfect finally - why did they muck with it? Should be a lockdown on already fixed things ... pretty bad coding behavior there to mess with it.
Now djinn's breaking hmm, could be an unintended side effect of the AI change but seems weird and unrelated.
This is awesome. Turbine really needs to redesign their QA methodology. Clearly it has some very incorrect priorities.
It should not be hard to check for fundamental feature-completeness in a minimal way.
1. Edit the quest
2. Patch these changes onto the test server
3. Finish the quest on the test server in the regular way.
If they did not attempt to beat The Shroud on the test server without cheating, then their QA is incompetent (or nonexistent).
And if QA did test it and it worked for them, then the build engineering is flawed and they need to more stringently apply test-server updates in a way that mirrors the updates live servers will recieve.
It's notable that when Module 6 was released, the raid had clearly not been completed normally in an accurate test environment, because it couldn't be repeated. Also when Module 5 was released, that raid also had not been completed normally, because you could repeat it instantly without waiting for a timer. They have established a track record of raids being broken in ways that would be obvious if you complete it once without cheating, so that should give a big hint of what to prioritize before pushing an update.
The only reasonable excuse for feature-completeness bugs to pass from QA into live is if the bug is something that only manifests itself on databases which are too large to be efficiently mirrored into test servers. (For example, the unbearable lag during the Devil Invasion live event could qualify as a scale-dependent bug). But logical errors in quest-scripting like this should not be hard to test.
Think this is the hard part for the devs. They don't play ddo normally, it's just a job. There only QA guys always run god mode and always use /smite to finish quests, they certainly don't have 12 real ppl to run a raid with normally.
Crystal is probably killable by devs only now and thats fine right.
