Hmmm, too bad that's not a melee weapon. Silver arrows/bolts on a +5 holy/pg ranged weapon get you the same result. There's some added utility in being able to use returning arrows and not need to buy >1000 silvers for a completion run. Overall very nice, but oh for a greataxe with that combo!

Actually I would take that transmuter shortbow over a +5 holy shortbow of pure good. For 2 reasons.

1st - as you said you don't need to fill up inventory with silver/cold iron arrows to bypass dr of the devils/demons.

2nd - with the +3 sturdy arrows you are carrying instead of filling up inventory with said arrows it turns that +1 transmuting sb of GEOB into a +3 transmuting sb of GEOB giveing it a +7 to hit/dmg and +3d6 EOB instead of the +5 to hit/dmg +2d6 holy +1d6 pg.

that exact bow sat on the AH 3 weeks ago for about 4 cycles...think it went for around 3 mil gold then....but today is a new day who knows

Keep in mind Quivers are coming very soon. In a few weeks (Hopefully) 1000 (or more) arrows will only take up inventory slot.

Also the named silver bow has double the crit range which increases the DPS incredibly. So I'd say that this thing is probably worth the same as a Silver bow. (Or at least it will be come MOD 7 and quivers).

For now though... super sweet bow for ANYONE on part 5 or super sweet bow for any ranger who does the shroud a lot.

Please lets not make an effort to comment upon others habits or thoughts on trading here. JFeenstra made an offer, I personally think it was way low my self but again we are both entitled to our opinions. As to discussions about what may or may not be a better weapon than this can you take it somewhere else?

As to the question on the value I am looking for, I am thinking around 350K plat or usefull items running about 450k plan in value.

Sorry man, but J's offer isn't as bad as you think. Personally, I'll offer you 30k plat for it. Its only useful as a transition bow while leveling. The silver bow is superior as an initial pit fiend weapon. Then its all shroud bows. The "Make Your Own Loot" bows are so far superior to any bow that drops (except the abbot bow, but.......), even as a tier 2 bow. This has devalued everything else but wp, smiters, banishers, and disruptors (or crippling of puncturing for those with high crit ranges :P). However, those are so common that they're not holding the same water they used to either. While that value isn't zero, its much, much less then it would have been before mod 6. Anyway, if you want the plat, let me know.

While the bow may or may not be worth more than 50k, the OP never said anything specific he wanted or listed a starting bid. His vagueness in this respect is much like the many peeps that would sit in the Diablo II trade channels for hours spamming their wares with no specific prices or ranges and their canned response to any inquiry was "make offer". While J's offer might have been on the low side, 350K pp for a weapon thats useful against 1 raid boss is even more out of line. It's a very nice item, but the small amount of damage it would put out against some weps you could pick up for what J offered or even less wouldn't justify 7x the price he offered. When you put something up on the forums you want to trade you can expect to be low-balled when you don't set the bar. All that aside, it's a pretty nice wep, but would mostly accumulate dust in your inventory.

Everyone knows that Elantra is a good laugh. He does it on purpose to amuse us. Just like everytime I go into the shroud with pugs I always say stupid stuff like "Okay guys I think we're going to pass part 1 for the first time here" "We can do this! Do all the clerics have at least 1000 heal scrolls and a stack of 100 Major Mnemonic pots?"

Its so funny i just finished checking your trade list and guess whats on there , like almost any want list your list has , transmuting of greater evil bane and greater construct bane are on the few items on your want list ,like i said your thread, or your replies in general people can see for themselves ...you keep putting amazing offers kudos to you for doing it publicly too !15 paralysers hmmm dude what do you need for those WP maybe i dunno ...

my trade list is incredibly out of date, and theres like 2 things that i haven't gotten (being w/p rapier + ss)...everything else i wanted i picked up for incredibly cheap (heck, i picked up 3 greater construct bane 1h weapons, 1 finessable, from the house d vendor for under 10k plat each) or made something better from the shroud

drith: of course i'm amusing...and i always say it's my first time in the shroud (usually when someone asks 'is there anyone who hasn't done this before?') even though all 4 of my chars are on their 10th+ completion using multiple tier 2/3 items

this bow would be a backup from my lightning 2 bow for when i run out of silver arrows...it's not really worth a whole ton to me, hence the offer

no need to say 'omg how could you value it so low blah blah blah'...as someone stated previously it's NOT THAT GREAT compared to easily made items in the shroud
