Default So...what about the love for other Races in Mod 7??

I see the love for halfling but still haven't seen anything in the WDA for: Elves, Humans, Drow and Warforged to bring them online with broken dwarves (I have a 16 Dwarf Pally so meh!).

Warforged: No Toughness Enhancements!! That is a little odd considering they get the +2 Con modifier similar to Dwarves.

Drow: Drow SR is innate, no need for enhancements to make it better. Drow are born with it. The level adjustment in PnP doesn't qualify here since the HP/Saves/CR of mobs in the game = a little tougher than norm Drow.

Human: Are mostly ok, but a little love for a weapon type wouldn't be bad. Maybe Scimitar and Khopesh?

Elf: Longsword and Rapier??? How about Scimitar?

Basically, each Race should get a Wep Type bonus. Dwarves get ALL axes +2 DMG/ +2 Attack.

Frankly, I am sick of every build I post or suggest getting turned into, "How about Dwarf, with the +809000 hit points and Axe Attack blah blah blah"

Either this or nerf Dwarves. Turn their saves into Reflex/Fort/Will independent like you did for Hling. Make Dwarven Armor Mastery Heavy Armor only and limit Axe Attack / DMG to Dwarf Axe/ Battle Axe only.

As it stands there is no reason to play a non-dwarf other than looks and a few hybrids for any melee. Is there some designer for DDO land who stands 4' tall and has affinity for tickly beards?

It appears that the are using the same model here that they use in LotRO: Concentrate in depth on 1-2 classes and races per mod rather than using a scattershot method of adding a little here and a little there. This obviously is less fun for the races later in the chain, but overall is better. If you just do a tweak or two to everyone instead of an major overhaul of a subset, you end up making less progress over all.

Last mod they did rangers. This mod paladins and rogues, as well as halflings (probably because the new halfling stuff seems to dovetail with rogue stuff).

I disagree with your whole premise.. Halflings are the only race to not have a racial damage increase. They have always been behind the other races for this reason. The sneak damage bonus sets that right.

Really what this post is about is dwarves are overpowered. You dont think I would like a green steel dwarven axe.. The elfs just got longswords, the drow ss, humans khopeshes and the dwarves well not so much. Yeah just cry nerf that will solve things...

Boohoo, you can't get raid loot that's exactly the weapon you want it to be.

Oh, and dwarves as it stands are by far over powered. Not saying any of the other races are particularly underpowered, but dwarves are over powered. My suggestions.

-Dwarven Toughness/Armor Mastery and all other enhancements that have another source be set up like having two classes with access to it. If you take Dwarven Toughness you can't take any other toughness line, same goes for the other enhancements.

-Each of the Axe Attack/Damage enhancements be split up, a separate one for each axe, or that it only apply to the Dwarven Waraxe.

    Talking I dislike nerfs

Dwarves are overpowered and the devs know it; the reason my account switched over to dwarf melee Anyway, I dislike the nerf bat strongly so I am all for powering up the other races. Halflings badly needed a way to get some more DPS due to the lack of a solid racial weapon and no free exotic proficiency so the backstab enhancements provide halflings a potential avenue to make a build that is fun, viable, and NOT a dwarf. I'm excited for the new mod because a finesse build finally looks worthwhile to me despite losing about 4 points of damage, a feat, and not being able to wield a khopesh in both hands. If they do monks right, you will see plenty of new AC hybrids as well as pure monks. I would really like to see some love sent to humans in terms of enhancements; they get some decent ones but my old human ranger just doesn't do it for me when dwarves get way better hitpoints, saves, armor mastery, a good tactical line if I end up with some extra points, etc.

Meh. Dwarves are good, so are halfling, so are drow (yes real SR WO enhancments would be welcome though), so are humans... Even with how 'gimpy' all the other races supposedly are I still see alot of drow, elves, halflings, humans, and even warforged running around. I run pleny myself, I run with plenty of people who run great toons that are non dwarves.

Let the dev's slowly balance races/classes. Last thing we need is another major shift like barbarian crit.

    Default weapon changes

I definitely don't think anybody needs a bonus to khopeshes- they're already great for anyone, especially with the crafting options now.
Handazes, daggers, kukris, and kamas would make sense for halflings, but how about we just blow that out of the wate and instead give them bastard sword enhancements. I love trying to wield swords that are longer than I am tall

I would like some new WF'd enhancements!

Even though we are obviously the superior race in the game.

The problem is the dwarven lines cover so much territory ... you never have any problem or issue utilitzing AP's on a dwarf in a potent and very useful way... Humans, Drow, haflings and WF are actually behind the curve I often hear many ask me ... What have you spent you last eight AP's in? - Reason being is unless these races are splashed-classed or in the pure or Arcane or cleric classes - there are very few eye popping class enhancements at the higher pure levels and usually the racial ones only have a hand-full of decent very usefull ones. ie.) HV boost is ok + adapatability + greater adaptability... then the rest of human enhancements amount to pure junk... even recovery is like a useless thing with a cleric heal criting everyone in the party for 200-1k hp... thus you're left looking more at the class enhancemnts which at level 14+ are just as much junk as chances are you've already have all the good ones... thus it only further encourages multi-class splashing to grab a few of those when it comes to these races. The only classes outside that are the arcanes and clerics who actually still can pick up some of the lower level'd ones to power them up in many aspects.

I had mentioned this a long time ago when they first re-did the enhancement system and I was told I was completely off my rocker that dwarves were not over-powered because I could concentrate my AP's more focus'd in the class then the dwarf... and what is it like... (I will not mention names because those people are very knowledgable and well respected, they were however wrong though) over a year latter I get to hear repeatedly how dwarven enhancements are now over-powered and we need to bring the other races slowly up in-line? People must be kidding! I said this a long time ago - you wanted dwarves this way and you wanted human's to not be as versitile, and halflings? The poor enhancements they get I have to really hand it to those who play them, Drow? Well they make a decent pierce build, wis, sorc etc... but the pigeon-holing is just what it is. Those who play other races well and are good at it are just that... very good players. The tools they have to play and build with are a far behind what they can build options in an other race's aspects.

So now we sit at the point where some people are crying for help with other races... and the dwarves are screaming hey! do not scream too much or we may get a nerf bat... hate to say it but they handed other's a nerf bat a long time ago and if you're screaming bout that then you've just been put on par with everyone else who does not have a dwaven melee or any toon who cannot benefit from +3 ac or 50hp etc... I do not believe they should nerf the dwarf but this hodge-podge piece meal love they dish out over a year or two or more in time only probagate many will evenually reroll dwarves or leave this bloody game out of frustration and disappointment the longer it all drags out. You all better get a grip on understanding human nature before you argue to either camp and maybe you'll approach this issue with a bit more understanding and insite from perspective on all sides.

Halfys get love in enhancements to one class that they are already practically pegholed into.Big deal. Nothing to complain about thats for sure.
