    Default Bardic Feats

Greetings! Currently have a Dwarven Warchanter Bard (8/1 Bard/Fighter) and have taken the following feats:

    Extend
    Weapon Focus: Slashing
    Two handed Fighting
    Power Attack
    Toughness

I'm about to hit level 10 and will be taking my second level of Fighter. At that time I'm planning on selecting:

    Improved Critical: Slashing

At the moment the plan will be to be 14/2 at level 16.

My question is what feats should I be looking at for levels 12 and 15?

I had thought about either MT and IMT or perhaps the Spell Pen line but I'm not sure Spell Pen would really help that much compared to something else. If not MT and IMT should I look for something to help melee-wise?

Currently my projected level 16 stats most likely wil be:
    STR 28
    CON 26
    CHA 24

That could change depending on how many +2 tomes I run across by then.

    Aprreciate any info/opinions/suggestions.

Cleave and Greater Cleave is an alternative.
1 trying to capstone, 1 running epics, and a dozen mules.

Given your build so far, I suggest you make melee combat and bard song your main strengths. I'm assuming you wanted mental toughness so you could cast more buffs. It's a nice thought, but I think your party would be better served if you increased your melee dps and survivability. Extend Spell is still a must-have, since you don't want to have to stop swinging every forty seconds to recast Displacement.

Think of it this way: when you join a party that already has a crowd control spellsinger, you want to take some of the buffing burden off the spellsinger, take some of the DPS and tanking burden off the fighters, and be available (and alive) to heal if the cleric and spellsinger are busy (or dead). The long and short of it is that if you don't go all-out to be good at melee combat, the only thing setting you apart from a spellsinger will be your ironskin song.

What were your original ability scores? As a melee warchanter, it should be fine to scrimp a little on charisma. I know a lot of people don't like armor class, but I've never felt worse off for having dexterity and mithril chain.

Extend is debatable. I quit taking it on my bards when they changed the metamagic system, and I have never missed it. You definitely want ITHF and GTHF. I would swap out extend for one of them, and take the other at level 12. FOP is another one thats especially good for melee bards.

Been away for a few days so don't see the past few posts until tonight.

    Original stats of importance were:
    STR: 17
    CON: 17
    CHA: 14
