First let me say that I'm glad some sort of crafting is coming to DDO. As a former crafter in an MMO that had one of the best crafting systems on the market (SWG) I think player created goods are an important part of an MMO. That said many times crafting gets to the point where a few high powered crafters control the market and after that happens it is hard for new people to get into it. Also so far the crafting seems to be geared at the high level players with nothing really for lowbies. I know this will change but not sure how or when. In the mean time here is an idea to help low and middle level characters get more customized weapons.
House Cannith sets up shop in Stormreach
In search of the Ancient Quori forges that produce the first Warforged. House Cannith has finally opened their ward to adventurers so that they may help locate these ancient relics.
- Earn Favor with house Cannith and gain access to their artificers.
- Upgrade your weapons with enhancments.
- Explore an Acient Quori forge where the first warforged emerged from
- Buy your very own homunculus
- Upgrade your Warforged: arm bows, arm blades, and other Warforge parts are now availible.
- Craft your own items: Learn from the master Artificers in House Cannith.
To start with everyone who can get into the market can get to the house Cannith ward and buy enhancements up to a max bonus of +5. The second level in creases the max bonus to +10. and the third lets you order directly what you want where before you had to add the enhancement one at a time. These items would e bound on acquire to prevent selling and excessive twinking.
What do you think any thing you would like to see in a system like this?
