+6 stat items garbage?

Are + 6 stat items so common now that they are vendor trash?

Reason I am asking is I was making some space in my bank and stuck 14 different +6 stat items or +6 stat of greater something useless up on the AH for 24 hrs and left the opening bid at the default that the AH puts in there. Only 2 sold out of 14.

Have +6s gotten so common that now people won't even pay the AH reccomended price for them? Or does everyone just trade them instead of using the AH

- Helm slot (WIS/INT/CHA) is largely reserved for the Minos helm (on like 60% of characters - probably 100% if everyone was a powergamer).
- Googles (Int) can't be given away, even for free
- Dex Boots are viable but in ample supply
- Bracers (STR) are likely only sought after by caster types
- Cloak (CHA) is viable, but most people who care about CHA would still prefer a Res+ cloak w/ the Head in the trinket slot.
- Necklace (WIS/CON) ain't a bad choice, but protection is viable too...a case of too much supply I think.
- Belt (CON/STR) is usually a "until I get Daggertooths/Brute/etc belt"

Basically, if it ain't on a ring, it is not nearly as valuable anymore.

HM I think the 2 that sold were rings now that you mention it. Guess they need to break out the +7s in the loot tables.

+7 stat items would be epic level items and may or may not make it in to the game before level 20, that'll be a dev call.

I think they should be implemented, as stats are already so out-of-sync with P&P that it won't cause any further divergence.

I mean, who ever heard of a stat over 30 before level 19-20 in PnP? (Not counting ECL races here).


On the plus side, they'd be something on the random loot tables that players would want again.



As far as the value of +6 stat items, they remain uncommon but are no longer rare. Think the way +5 stat items were when Mod 4 was new.

well i could still use a +6 CHR cloak..... but yeah, even I have a +6 STR and a +6 DEX and a +5 WIS item waiting for my Ranger to get levelled up enough to use them

I have a capped toon and I havent landed a single +6 item ever. I have also never been given a +6 item. I guess that makes them too rare and too valuable for me!

I recently pulled two tomes in a week (both +1)...I have never pulled a +2 and before that I had only pulled one tome the whole time.

Tell a story like that and you get people telling you that they are very common and that they gave 5 tomes away last night. Go to the auction though....you cant buy one for less than 300k gp. That speaks to their value and their rarity.

I already ate an INT tome....otherwise I would be there with balls on.

Dont get me wrong....people do put them up for cheap, but they very seldom sell for cheap. Props to you though (and Ill be looking for your future deals *cough* Con/Str *cough*).
