I just pulled a greater spell pen 6 sceptre out of a quest and I havent seen anything like it before. Just curious on how much its worth?

I dont know how many ppl use them. I use 1 on my wizzy when hes doing instakills, the extra 1 or 2 to Spell Pen I think makes a difference. It would be worth something, but only to the few that would want it. Most casters IMO would think they were better holding Sup Pot item and Greater <insert spell area> Lore item, if they dont have a Greater Arcane item.

Im sure their plenty of ppl that could give you a PP price, I am not one of them.

It is a nice item though, until Spell Pen VII and VIII comes out.

I've pulled one of those while I've lost count of the number of spell pen VII I've pulled. So I would say it is not common. I didnt end up using it since my sorc is spec'ed for spell pen. But for those who dont want to invest the feats or enhancements it might be a useful item.

I gave the one I pulled to a guildy so I have no idea on trade value, but I would hazard a guess at maybe 200k pp?

Well, here's the rub.. greater spell pen you either want it to be level 7, for finger of death, banishment and dancing ball, or you want it level 5 for hold monster and PK. Few want it at level 6 for flesh to stone.

One of my casters (not yet blessed with a neat arcane lore robe, nor with a napkin or other neat equipment) swaps between a sickle of enchantment and necromancy + a spell pen VII scepter, and a greater potency VII scepter and green blade combo. (I have both combos hot keyed for easy swapping).

(please note the caster IS spec'd for spell penetration, but the extra +2 helps as long as you need over a 2 to bypass SR, which even at +25 to bypass you do!)

*I* would have no use for greater spell pen VI, but someone specializing in flesh to stone might. Would they pay 200k for it? Unlikely, but possible. Would I pay 200k for even a greater spell VII? Hmmm, unlikely but possible

..which reminds me, I need a superor potency vii 1 hander for him, sigh.
