Khyber Dragonshards needed

I am trying to test crafting with Soul Stones, but to do so requires a large supply of the black khyber dragonsgards. If anyone has some extra ones they don't need please mail them to Tathal. I will send you back some gold to cover the mailling costs. Without your help it would be impractical for me to even attempt this. It just plainly requires too many shards. Its really almost impractical even with help, try making a trap the soul weapon or guard item to get your soul stones

I have somewhere in the neihborhood of 10,000 of these ........ but Im looking for a +2 dex tome

I agree that it is impractical which is why I am asking for assistance to research this. I would craft a weapon or item to do this but that is going to be just as slow of a process. Not to mention that others will be able to pick those soul stones up. I plan to get the components together and solo instances to get the soul stones, that way I won't lose any.

Sorry, I am not willing to trade for these because even your 10,000 would be a drop in the bucket compared to what I need.

maz, i posted a reply to this in the ghallanda general topic area. i have nowhere near the amount your looking for, i just have a lttle over 1k of them. but i never think about it while im in game. send me a tell in game and ill send you what i got. just look for thudul.

To be perfectly honest, most of the people I know who run casters are saving these. It's been stated more than a few times in dev interviews that Mod 7 will have increased crafting choices. We all ready have Adamantine Ritual I (requires lots of Kyber shards already), suggesting that there are more to follow. I'd place my bets that Khyber Dragonshard Fragments will be a major component of that. Personally, if you're interested in acquiring these, I'd strongly suggest looking for trades or buying them, rather than donations. I just think most will not be overly generous right now with a new mod on the horizon and costs for crafting still unknown at this point.

Also, since you are into research, i will tell you this.
Currently, Essence of Earth is the only soul gems that fit in the crafting machine. Any other kind dont fit. They have all been tested.
So since you can't even experiment with them, there is no testing to do.

As for testing about mobs, just know the gem they drop is related to creature type.
So a Troll, Storm Giant, and Ogre all drop Weak/regular/strong Giant Souls.
Hunting a super rare Orange Mind Flayer will thus give you the same gem as a regular Threnal Tharask Hound.

All you can do now is: Collect CR 7 earth elemental souls to sell

Farm for the futur, which is exactly what every wizard in the game is doing.
