    Default Price Check Banishing Rapier

    Not sure if i want to sell or not but looking at what kind of offer someone would have for a ML 16 +1 banishing rapier of shatter +6

    Hard to say...varies heavily (handy in the Vale, useless in the shroud). If I AH'd it, I'd probably put it up around 500kpp buyout. Chances are someone would bite, I think (it been ages since I sold em, so the market could have shifted - that's just my guess).

    Correct in the shroud useless but in almost every vale quest it comes in extremely handy and a very nice weapon rapiers are highly sought after and can prob get ya a good price 500k sounds reasonable but may be able to get more from the right person!!

    i'll give you 375k plat for it, which is %5 more than you'll see from the AH if you sold it for 500k

    Played around a little with it on my fighter last night... decided i would keep it as it makes an awesome pair with the dagger I have.

    Something like disruption is always useful, since no matter how high their save they can roll a 1. But eventually for banishing, you're just going to see immune immune immune (we already see that for elite elementals).

    A banishing rapier is great now. Probably still good for mod 7 since the cap will still be 16, and the devils have low HD. And I guess one will always be good for leveling new toons.

    But it's not an end game weapon, and that makes me personally not care about them.

    every earth elemental past a level 12 quest is pretty much immune, all elementals in 14+ quests are immune...orthons will likely be immune on elite quests next mod, possibly other devils as well

    every new mod release from now on the value of banishing goes down

    Not true one bit!! It would be MMO suicide for them to make weapons like this obsolete.

    so you're saying they should keep weapons like this useful at level 20?

    that would involve making mobs weaker than 25HD

    already weapons like disruptors and paralyzers have dropped 10x in value since last year, because the mobs saves are too high for them to be useful on any setting other than normal, undead dies faster to holy/GUB weapons than a disruptor

    demons/devils past a level 17/18 (base) quest are very likely to have immune popping up left and right when hit with a banisher

    They sound great but the reality is that they are soon to be useless, if not already. All of the Vale quests on elite are filled with monsters with too many HD. Like those before have said, it's nice to have one but the reality is a good DPS or even a vorpal on the outsiders is way more important to the group.

    Nice weapon. A staple in a toons diet for sure. They work just fine on all the Meridia quests on Hard .... which is about all you need for the endreward tables to drop +2 tomes. They also work great out and about the explorer areas. Always great on any of the lowbie quests and of course 13-20 crits on a spec'd barbarian.

    500-750K plat range. The longer you keep it, however, the less valuable it'll be due to market saturation and new content.

    Huh?

    Banishing works just fine in the Vale and Vale Quests, On any Difficulty Level. And will most likely Work Just fine next Mod considerign we are NOT getting a Level cap raise, so I doubt we'll see much higher leve quests than we have right now.

    Banishing does not work inthe Shroud. But that has nothing to do with HD's.

    ive seen banishing short swords sell for more than 1mil plat the rapier is worth more for the crit range its a great weapon id keep it for future use unless your really low on cash you may someday wish you had one

    Here's a test for ya JFeenstra. Take a banishing rapier into running with the devils on elite, then run down the devil hallway gather all the devils into a group and slaughter them all. Then try that with a vorpal and a W/P. This is also good for soloing Coalescence Chamber on elite as well.
