    i could understand it being incredibly hard without mic's but otherwise co-ordination and practice should be sufficient

    PUG'ing it adds that uncertainty and would make it harder to say the least


    what in the raid requires a fix instead of teamwork?

    No, I don't think you have. I've never seen a video of the chasm puzzle being done. I've seen it being finished, but that is very different from being done.

    To beat the original Inferno you basically needed at least two clerics respecced for that purpose. A raid should not require such specialized character builds to win.

    What got it nerfed was a method that cannot be discussed on the forums. Sadly the nerf went too far.

    The Inferno basically needed the Clrs to have Quicken - that was about all the respeccing that they needed. Quicken is very common now, one level cap later.

    The Ice Wand breaking on death is something that should change, IMO.

    It was nerfed because people were beating it without doing the puzzles, or without even trying to do the puzzles. They would heal through inferno, jump out of encasement, and tank the phase wraiths.

    I know what other thing you're talking about- but you are wrong. There was a simple and obvious fix to the other exploit, which had nothing to do with making the special attacks stronger, making the puzzles mandatory, and making the Abbot's combat stats higher.

    Version 1.0 was a quality raid, however.

    Using the strategy above, the raid was beatable at a cost of a lot of mnemonic enhancement potions. Solving the puzzles meant less mana pots chugged - a perfect solution IMO.

    oh your right...i never noticed/cared about that lol

    good thing my casters true neutral

    the cape is also decent, 10% blur, +5 move silently/hide (enhancement), ghost touch for all weapons, superior null 6, -15% hate

    +3 umd gloves as well (with +5 dex and 3x/day power drain clicky) are decent, even though the titan ones are better

    Most characters could find a way to make the bonuses outweigh a negative level penalty. That especially applies to elite powergamer types who already have a bunch of +3 tomes and rare stuff.

    It's more accurate to call them Power Drain gloves that happen to have UMD as a side effect. Power Drain is the best part of that item. It's seriously like a free Major Mnemonic Enhancer at every shrine.

    Pretty sure the cloak only makes melee attacks work as if they were ghost touch. And the 10% is a miss chance to concealment vs the 20% miss chance caused by blur (though they may read differently cause turbine makes poor discriptional choices for how things work).
