Plus we don't have the real estate to have a home of our own - what public area can support player homes?

Other games have wide open landscapes where homes and mounts are viable investments of DEV time, here, in DDO, we don't have those.

I haven't really seen anyone asking for there own house. I would love to have my own little crib where I could store all my junk. I end up selling most of my stuff, but If I had room I wouldn't. I don't think it would be too hard to add, since the children graphic games like EQ2 and WOW have.

I would love for my halfling to ride around stormreach on his clawfoot dinosaur... just like in Eberron pnp. I understand it would be hard to implement mounted combat, but just to ride around town and give us like a %60 speed increase. Probaly could make it favor based just like everything else in this game.

Just some ideas my little brain wishes.

Has there been any talk about my wishes before?

I think mounts and housing or guild housing would be great!

When they implemented housing in LOTRO, I went and spent my hard earned cash on a house. Cost me 7 gold pieces (prob equivalent to DDO 80,000,000 gold). I spent the money, decorated the house…looked around in pride, then never returned again. It was out of the way, from where I needed to be. Never had a reason to visit it. It fell out of maintenance and was repossessed by the game. What a waste of money.

Where in DDO can a server's worth of population plop down a house of their own? Where can a server's worth of Guilds plop down a Guildhall? Where is the room for all these homes?

We want the Vale/Orchard/Gianthold littered with private Homes/Guildhalls?

Create special landscapes just for houses? Ug. Much easier to just give us extra bank space then create homes and all the rules with them to just hold more of our collected junk.
