Would be nice if they put a guy in Meridia that you could trade 1 horn to for an ingredient of your choice of the same size as the horn. Since the horn was left in by mistake anyways and is taking the place of an ingredient it would make sense. Actually that makes too much sense, probably going to just get hosed.

Even if they are uber tastic ingredients next mod it would be likely that recipies requiring them will require substancially more of them then current recipies do for individual ingredients because players have been getting them for an extra period of time.

What's Wicked cool though is someone told me that somewhere, somehow...i could upgrade my 3 weapons and 1 item (which are all stuck at lvl 2)...to some unknown lvl 3 tier ?? what is this 3rd tier? where is it and how can we upgrade to lvl 3??

I think the game's telling you not to complete the shroud and you might get other ingredients

I made a thread advocating horns equate to a wild card. Maybe it will be implemented and youll have a "free" unexpected shroud item waiting for your essence. While it dosent help you now, look at the bright side.

I belivee I have you beat. I should have 4-5 large horns with 2-3 completions.

I belive I have about 9-10 mediums.

Personaly, I am offended. I think it was an intentional SCAM to force players to have to grind it out longer by throwing in a monkey wrench into the loot table. Logic does not allude to this being a mistake.

I have a total of 11 large ingredients now. 2 large horns, 23 medium horns, and 3 small horns. I've made the "The chests must be horny" joke quite a lot, and references to wishing they would use lubrication occasionally.

That would be true for people not completing. I always complete, though, and half the time have a large horn waiting for me in the end chest.

I agree with your first statement where the ingredient drop rate was likely balanced for running the quest every 3 days.

The second part though would represent a vastly different balance setup given they forgot to take them out of the table rather then putting them in after they discovered people crafting things faster then anticipated.
