By next mod, I'm assuming you mean mod 8 since Druids won't be in mod 7. (HIGHLY unlikely they would split the time between making monks and druids simultaneously). Anyway I don't think they will be out in mod 8 (I have no proof just opinion and basing it off of the way they usually do things like this. I'm expecting them for mod 9 though. my reasoning is they are raising the level cap in mod 8, and usually when they raise the level cap, the focus is on content (i.e quests) for that level cap increase and not on extra stuff like new classes and major features.
But as for the original question, I'd assume enhancements dealing with Wild Shape, possibly something that enhances summoned monsters (since druids spontaneously cast summons instead of cures like clerics). And even though I am not one of those that expects druids to be main healers* I'd expect enhancements similar to clerics so they can heal better.
*side note, before anyone jumps out and argues about the druids healing ability; Yes they can heal, and if so inclined they can heal well. I just don't consider healing to be the primary focus of the class
I expect they'll be better healers than Bards and worse than Clerics - a Dru16 should heal about as well as a Clr12 IMO.
As such I expect they'll have access to +10, +20 and +30% Positive Energy enhancements, and all bar the top tier of +Positive crit enhancements.
I don't have a zerging problem.
I'm zerging. That's YOUR problem.

One area people are forgetting is the elemental casting aspect of Druids. They will most likely get enhancements for fire/cold and electric/acid, since most of their attack spells are elemental based. So you have self healing, attack bonuses the same as clerics, and spells like wall of fire. They should be really easy to solo with even at low levels.
I would like to see buffs, and I know I"m thinking more EQ Druid and not PnP D&D druid, like spike growth at higher tiers for druids and regeneration to augment the "below cleric" healing abilities. All I know is I can't wait to play one.
Ok time to update this thread cause I started to think what could be added to Druid when they get put in. First off remember that all enhancements are based off existing prestige classes from the sourcebooks. Here some examples of druid prestige classes:
Arcane Hierophant: hybrid arcane caster /druid
Master of Many Forms: expert shapechanger who eventually can take the form of Plants, Fey, Oozes, Dragons, and in the end changes into a ‘Shapeshifter’. (depending on the mechanics of wildshape in DDO)
Master of the North Wind: hybrid druid /monks that patrol large areas and keep the peace through personal prowess.
Nature’s Warrior: druids gains special abilities to combine with their Wild Shapes.
War Shaper: Can gain bonuses and buffs through wildshape like gaining claws or wings or fangs instdea going full animal form. (same master of Many Forms for mechanics)
Stormlord: Focuses more on the nature spells like Call of Lighting or Gust of Winds.
There are some that deals animal empathy and animal companions but the way these two features are done in DDO, i can not see it happening. Like for one there is n Animal-lord prestige like you pick one animal to the master of the type. Or Beastmaster who gains extra animal companions.

stormlord should b doable for clerics too =(, i love the class, but back to topic, i believe for druids, the main enhancements wouldnt be much of heal or elemental spells, because the main differential between druids and other casting classes is wild shape, because either way you see, druids aint focused to b healers, thats something targeted for clerics, neither they are focused to b damage dealers with spells, because honestly, i think for damage dealer with spellers, sorcerer and wizard would be better, so trying to focus on a point that they do not hold a exceptional advantage is pretty meaningless, its better to keep them mid term, and focus on animal forms which is their differential, because as you stated, as a prestige class, they may get to the master of many shapes (which i dunno if its the same as shifter or if shifter is a step ahead/behind) and shifters, and IF there is combat casting in animal shape for druids, they will b powerhouses, because they may turn into a evil MOFO monster and yet cast healing/damage spells, can you imagine a druid turning into a red dragon in the middle of fire creatures and casting multiple harms while the fire spells will make him laugh? Or a druid turning into the vilest melee damage dealer monster and self curing with heal?
i am not stating that druids are ****** spellcasters, they do have some awessome spells, but the main thing for them by far, even more considering what comes latter as prestige class is the wild shape, so i would like better to have enhancements to improve the number/duration of wild shapes, or their effectiveness at melee damage, or moving speed, or stuff like that.
they may have some stuff to improve healing/elemental spells, but i bet the main focus will be for wild shapes, and perhaps, if you wanna a druid for calling forth his forest buddies, enhancements for being able to sumon more animals or to "buff" his summons
bunitchu, the only difference between Druids with masters of many forms or warshaper and Shifters (race), is that Shifters can only choose one "semi-form" and they pick more with feats as for Druids prestige classes/enhancements they choose more than more than one per level. Master of Many Forms may be a lot easier cause it gives the druid extra, faster and more forms to wildshape. Warshaper will be more tougher a cause with in another form other than your base form you ca add natural weapons as one feature like a an ape with claws or horns. Basically washaprs become the ultimate version of a chimera. Nature's Warrior is another easy one which they gain special bonuses while in wildshape form lik damage reduction and magical attacks through their natural weapons. Arcane Hierophant will be tougher cause it deals with a lot of touch spells though it's channel abilities and I am not sure if their are any touch spells other than self.
