Vista New DDO install hangs

I am having a problem I just built a new system and installed DDO to my second HD not the C: The launcher hangs up on "getting alerts and news" on the splash screen.

I checked the online search for help but nothing comes up. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

First make sure you are using a normal vista account, that you have turbineinvoker and dndclient.exe in the firewall and that uac is on, you may want to try another user account too.

I thank you. A friend of mine gave me a link to the mod 6 download it seems to have helped thus far. I will install clean from that instead of the innitial DVD install.
