Still, speaking from martial arts experience there are plenty of times where a spin-kick was the right answer to an opponent's move.

5th: what'evs. At least it stands out.
Little know fact: The animation turns the other way in the Southern hemispehere.

LOL! That is a great change to the thread title, admins, and now I want to stat out a Dire Butterfly for my PnP game.

And I am so keeping that warning forever! Never recieved one before, and it was well deserved, so I think of it as a cool momento. Yes, I am twisted like that.

Oh I will craft the Dire butterfly one day... my current DMish person keeps shooting me down on it because apparently using the word "dire" should - in his eyes - "only be applied to vicious prehistoric creatures like sharks etc. There was no such thing as a prehistoric butterfly!"... I don't buy it.

Now no more politics talk and no more poking at each other. On topic.

Well, back to the topic at hand.

Really, it was truly a dissapointment to see the "Dire Butterfly" animation with the TWF. All 5 swings of sword and board, and quarterstaff look cool, the THF fifth swing looks a bit like a drunk barbarian, but at least it's livable, but this one is so bad that I am kinda ashamed to play the character now. Hearing the mocking cat calls in group while I am trying to DPS the bad guys is just not fun after a while...

Yes! That accurately describes the 5th attack animation. I couldn’t have said that better myself, and obviously I didn't.

there were lots of prehistoric bugs... I swore I saw a show on dinosors that had a giant butterfly in the background playing with the giant flowers.

Yeah, there were prehistoric Dragonflies. and they were quite dire. I vote for a dire dragonfly - a swarm of them could attack a-la fiendish bats.

Need I remind you that modern science and archaeology has placed man and dinosaur in the same timeline, and confirmed that the Earth is no more than 37,500 years old? Perhaps your DM missed that set of facts.

I would also like to see a Dire Gnat.

I know a couple 4 billion year old rocks that would disagree.

That would be tough because Dire is a template for Animals and Insects. Now, a fiendish giant is feasable. Or, as I am doing in my PnP game, a Fiendish Half-Illithid Fire Giant is a possibility.
