Default 3 horns for one ingredient

I'd like to be able to swap 3 horns for one ingredient (same level) of my choice. I know they're planned for future recipes, just an idea.

The fact that they left horns in after the last major patch (anniversary) is pretty insulting to the playerbase. Horns were left in by mistake and they didn't take em out.

I agree with the OP...make em useful now, don't make us clutter our inventory and hold on to them for 8 months in the hopes of a use.

Currently, finding a Large Horn now is like having a dev kick you in the jewels and scream "haha, you lose, see ya in 3 days!".

18 large horns looted no more than 10 of any others

I better get something better than a 3 to 1 return on these.

One of the toons I just deleted still had 387 invader tokens in the bank after all this time... Let me explain. Invader tokens as a collectable preceded the turn in for reward of them by a few months. So then people were collecting the things like crazy before that time. I could have very well tossed them out after - especially since they bind, but I never got around to it.

To put it straight forward... I would be surprised if they took the horns out or hurried on the use of them - it had not been the typical thing to do in the past.

3:1 is too harsh, it needs to be 1:1.

There should be an NPC where you can hand in your Horn and you choose an equivalent size ingredient or at the veary least he hands you a random one of the same size.

This is a bug, these hould not have been in the loot tables at all and it's quite clear they were mean to be s-m-l ingredients and should be traded in for 1:1.

Alternatively you could just stop them from dropping in an update and all of them can be replaced in your inventory by a random ingredient of the right size.

I seem to remember the rewards being available at the time Invaders! was added, just alot of folks couldn't find where to turn them in.

That's the insulting part. They admitted the inclusion of the Horns in the loot table was a mistake right after mod 6. They could have taken them out of the table in 6.1 but didn't. I get that devs aren't the ones spending an hour or two each shroud run (more when it was first released), but you'd think they'd have enough respect and empathy for players game time to remove those useless things from the tables.

Am I the only one actually a little angry about this laziness?

Spend a few hours and adjust the loot tables devs...it'll save your customers literally thousands of wasted hours - that should be ample motivation.

As much as I hate to agree with Delt... he and the Op have a point...

I know some ppl are collecting them for the inevitable addition of these items to the 7.0 expanded craftable items list but in the mean time its really annoying when you pull them.

I can't imagine the coding to replace that line in the loot table with another existing item would be that bad (even if that meant we doubled the number of another existing item dropping and so they flooded the market a bit)

I like the 1:1 random idea. That way sounds the most fair amung all the other ones that I've stumbled accross. The other one I'd heard about was using them to DE-construct items that were already crafted. Personnally, I'd prefer the exchange though.

    Default ratio

1-1 or 2-1 for random, 3-1 for being able to choose. Just using giant hold as a template.

Right but gianthold wasn't correcting a bug, large horns are dropping now as the result of an error meaning a large ingredient should be dropping in their stead, hence 1:1 to rectify the situation.

I don't know the official drop rates on Horns, but I'm gonna have to say no to the 3:1 trades. Unless they have an increased drop rates, Horns should trade at 1:1.

Why not? Some people would be able to make tier 3 upgrades if it wasnt for the large horns dropping as a mistake. Unless the new recipies are going to require large numbers of horns it seems silly to leave them in. Unless the purpose at the moment is to prevent or slow down the manufacture of tier 3 upgrades. I'm in favor of a 1:1 random turn in fix.

    considering they said

"There will be a big use for them in the future crafting tables"

I would say don't be giving them away yet.
