- At the voice, go right (most people running von 4 call this "the right").
- When you get to the big room at the end, if you follow the right hand wall, you will reach a stack of crates in the corner
- The symbiont is in a box tucked into the corner of that stack of crates. Or so I'm told, I have yet to see it drop.

is this where it is? id like to get one, and have been thinking it was in the chest at the end of the quest. it would help to know this was where it is for the next time i do von4.

Kargon knows it comes from a box and not a chest, kargon saw one on floor once after break box. kargon not remember which box though.

and make sure to bind silly symbiot with khyber shards and consider investaming in some adamantine ore and get a castermer to trap some souls to add 5 hardnamess and 10 duramabilimaty to it. makes it much more worth havaming than as just 1/1 duramabilimaty

BTW its bind on aquire.... farmed it over the weekend and got it drop only to toss it since it was for my barb and was doing it on my sorc.... bah.

It's generally more useful for a sorc tho.

As it gives DR5/- , which barbarians get inately, and no DR stacks.. So not useful there.. But decent for a sorc who has no dr item.
-2 Con - which will lower your hp and rage length, not good. Bad on a sorc too, but not as bad.
-2 will saves - not that nice..
3x rage clicky - good but very easy to find this on much better and more durable items anyways.. Plus you cannot use rage clickies while raged which sucks.. But you can drink rage potions.

yeah i wouldnt use this on a barb.

probably best on a ftr. gives dr5/- only a few other items in game have that
-2 con easy to even out with another toughness out of all those feats you get.
the will save sucks but manageable.
immunities are nice as are the clickie

I have 3 on my WF wizzie to improve DR ( for occasions when stoneskin run out or not necessary).
I usually run VoN4 untill I get few. And yes it's in corner on top of crates ( drops from barrel). I run through the spiked trap,
over the tube right to the corner. First time I think took me about 30-40 runs to get first. Then ran after mod6 and got 3 in like
30 runs in total ( may be was lucky). Shield spell ( clickie) + elec resistance good to have. And if no symbiont drops always can get chest from lava pit

True, but clickies don't last as long as barbarian rage and potions are usable at any time. I don't want to dismiss rage every time I want to use a rage clicky. Throw on a pair of Madstone Boots and they proc enough that you can rarely use clickies if there's any sort of fighting going on. Plus rage potions are crazy cheap.

Yea there is, it's called cooldown.

Here's what a good barbarian does:
Rage ends - fatigued, drink lesser restore clicky (stupid funnels), drink rage potions, rage. Done in 2-3 seconds.

Here's your (bad) idea:
Rage ends - fatigue, drink lesser restore clicky, try to use rage clicky - error you cannot do that. wait wait wait, while getting hit in battle for 6 seconds.. almost die,, ok rage clicky finally, .. now rage.

Now if you use madstone boots, forget it.

I used to carry a rage clicky on my barbarian, tell I realised it was worthless so i got rid of it and got potions like a sane person.

I use both. Clicky for when I'm starting from scratch, potion for (spell) re-rage mid Barb-Rage, or when I'm Madstone raged. Sometimes, I get lazy and just drink potions for both before and during.

The real problem with the rage clickies (apart from madstone) is that the lesser restoration pots are on the same timer. Meaning it takes 10 seconds to get back into normal super-raged mode, 15 if you are trying to refresh madstone as well. (edit: like shade said, lol)

But I have a solution:

Rage potions: 6500pp per stack from QwijyMart
Lesser restore pots: 2800pp per stack from Qwijy's QwijyMart, 3kpp from Gtar's

why would you guys need a lesser restore pot? exhaustion at the end of the rage? bah. you guys are pullin my leg!! last time i got exhausiton after a rage, all i did was log out and log back in. some kind of weird bug, or somthin. i dunno. *whisper* *whisper* wait. what? OH!!! theyre fleshys!!! that must be annoying! yeah, after lookin at it, there is really no point in me getting the symbiant. ill just stick to my 2 clickys of rage (3 clicks each) plus all my rings and barb spirits. may look into pots of rage though....never thought of that. sucks ending my rage with 1.5 minutes left to get double rage goin. anyway, i did find the chest. but all i got was a stupid bloodstone. dont look at that speshal, but ill follow the trend and put it up in the ah for 8 million.

Heh rage pots.... are they equivelent to clickies as to the amount of enhance they give? Also is theres different potency rage pots or just 1 type and is there a place where i can grab em cheaper than the others? Heh WF Barb has a pot drinking problem XD

Rage potions and clickies provide the same effect, although the duration may differ (not sure).

There is only one type of rage potion.

The cheapest source for Rage potions is Khyber's QwijyMart.
