Sounds like it - ran around gh with it on - cursed a few mobs quite regularly when they hit me - didnt get cursed myself

I love this item on my caster, and am looking to make room for it on my cleric... I get cursed maybe 1 time per quest on average. It might be nice on a low ac fighter or barb too
